tracheitis
Please help!My mom 87 suffers from tracheitis which comes on from just being in a draft or swetting in hot weather. i would not like her to use the usual cortison, so please could you suggest a good homeopathic remedy for her? The cough is frequent and like there is mucous, but no musous is expelled.

2 remedies will help your mother.
Bryonia 200c in the Wet dose to be used as a gargle.
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily to be used as a tonic. It will help to improve the blood flow throughout her body and will help her general condition by eliminating the aches and pains she suffers from at her advanced age.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in some countries.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle or a large teaspoonful of the remedy is sipped as directed.
A capful of the bottle or a sip of the Bryonia 200 will help to keep her throat clear of the phlegm buildup which may be the cause of her Tracheitis twice daily. Please note however that this remedy is not for daily use unlike the Arnica which will help her to a better quality of life and can be used for as long as she likes.
You may like to know that I am 81 years old myself and have taken Arnica 30c in the Wet dose nightly since 1996 and am convinced that I owe to Arnica the quality of life I enjoy today, free of all aches or pains.

thank you so much for your prompt reply and I will follow your advice.
I would like to ask for some further help regarding my mother. Until last November, she has always had an extremely sharp mind and you could not believe she was 86. But after my father's death, a man far from agreeable, she has started to be slower, also in her speech, sometime lost for words. I think this is due also to the fact that he revealed her something very upsetting 20 days before he died. Do you think alumina 15ch could help her mind?

I have helped senior citizens to regain their original mental levels with Arnica 1M in the Wet dose taken just once daily for a week.
Suggest that you give this potency to your mother and report results in a week.
I have suggested the cap of the bottle of water to be used as the dose as this is the most convenient measure which is always close at hand. You can also use a large teaspoonful as an alternative.

I could not find the arnica 1M in my area, they gave arnica Mk in drops to be taken under the tongue 3-4 drops. Is it good just the same?

I do not know what Mk is as this is not a standard term used in Homeopathy.
Suggest you mail order the Arnica 1M from a manufacturer in your country.

I live in Italy and you cannot obtain M from a store, in fact, they don't even know what it is. But I have done some research on internet and I have found that it is the same as M. Thanks for answering me, I was panicking.

Please note that you must get the Arnica 1M and use just 3 drops in the bottle of spring water.
Patients whom I have treated with this same protocol 2 of whom were living vegetables and confined to bed or a chair were mobile within 2 weeks. They were far worse that you mother and it is very likely that within a few days she will come back to normal.
Please report her response weekly.

I am still asking around for the Arnica 1M, but with no success so far. In the mean time I found on internet the explanation of Mk which means centesimal millesimal korsakovian. As I told me they gave me Arnica Mk Does it mean anything to you. Can I use it instead of the 1M?

As I stated before, I am not familiar with what Mk is and whether is will equate the standard 1M used in Homeopathy. I have used Arnica 1M in many cases and it has evoked some outstanding results in virtually waking up people who were over 85 years of age who were unable in one instance to move his limbs as he had lost all motor control and was a living vegetable, unable to talk although he was able to make sounds. He was able to stand up and walk in 3 weeks and this is after a period of about a year when he was just given up for lost.
Arnica 1M returned them to life within 2-3 weeks and I hope that the Arnica Mk you have got will also help for the moment. You have not confirmed that this is the Liquid Dilution in Ethanol as this is very important to perform the hoped for miracle in your mother's case of stimulating her mental status.
Follow the protocol outlined in a previous post and see how it goes. You can also order Arnica 1M from the ABC store and await its arrival for use if the Mk does not help.
It occurs to me that your vendor may be more familiar with the 1000c potency which is what 1M is. Another way of putting it is to inform him that it is 100 to the power 1000.

the Mk is in the liquid form, indeed. And finally I have found a store which can get me the 1M which I have ordered and will be with me tomorrow afternoon. Now my question is: my mom has taken this Mk for two days. Should she stop and wait for the 1M which arrives tomorrow afternoon or continue with Mk?

I prescribed the Arnica 1M in the wet dose originally and it was when you were unable to get tha 1M that I agreed to your using the Mk.
You can stop the Mk when you get the Arnica 1M as this is a potency that I have often used for many patients and which has worked admirably.

I am sorry, but after I have waited for three days the store which promised the Arnica 1M, brought me the Arnica 1LM. I prepared it as you said and yesterday I gave it to my mother. ThenI had a better look at the medicine and read it was 1LM. Please, I would like to continue with this potency, because my mother is losing heart with all this changes. Do you think it will help her?

I am indeed very surprised that your vendor has supplied you with a remedy which is far higher in potency than the Arnica 1M that I prescribed.
Quite frankly I must inform you that I do not have any experience with using LM potencies of remedies as I am not a qualified Homeopath as all my studies of Homeopathy since 1968 were done in my spare time and I preferred to study the standard potencies of remedies up to 1M.
I note that you have already given her one dose of the Arnica LM and I shall await your mother's response to future doses which you will give her twice daily.
I do not think that the LM potency can do her any harm and I shall expect you to provide me with a detailed daily report of her progress when you will indicate any nuances in her behaviour in comparison to what it was before you gave her this remedy. If however you do notice any aggravation you must STOP the remedy and report it to me ASAP.
