Solitary Rectal Ulcer Syndrome.....Remedy please
Dear All,I am 48 year old male from dehradun. Since, November 2009, I have been suffering from Solitary Rectal Ulcer Syndrome (SRUS) as diagnosed by allopath doctors. As suggested by sigmoidoscopy, I am having ulcer on the verge of anus 10 mm in size.
I feel pain in the rectum while sitting continuously, as my job demands 8 hours sitting daily. As advised by my allopathic physician treatment of this stat is nothing but behavioral management to avoid constipation.
If I dont strain while defecating, I dont feel any pain for even a week, but if I strain during defecating I feel pain in anus/rectum. It aggravates by evening. I feel better while lying on bed.
Kindly advise some homeopathic remedies to cure this permanently.

Dear Doctor Rakesh Kumar,
Basically, I have been sufferring from constipation since my childhood. Even I undergone surgery for pilesin 2001. During 19-21 November 2009, I suffered from constipation very badly. Even I tried to take enema on my own. The nozzle of enema hurt me and it bleed prfously. Next Day on 23 November I was having fever, and saw the surgeon, who operated me for piles. He diagnosed that due to wound of nozzle I have got infection. Then prescribed me some anti-biotics for 15 days. But it could not heal up. Then on 16th day, I was advised to take a test namely sigmoidoscopy. It was confirmed that the wound has turned up into a ulcer.
I tried naturopathy too and took wheat grass juice for two months. I would like to bring on record if I don't strain while defecating it goes well for a week or more. The moment I get constipated it again starts paining. Mostly I try to avoid constipation by taking more of fibre in my diet. But I feel to have some homeopathic medicine alongwith dietary precautions.

I need some more information before I tell you some homeopathic medicines mainly your height and weight and more information about constipation and character of stool when constipated or anything you feel noteworthy.

My height is around 172 Cms and weight is around 90 kgs. I own a bulky figure. You can have a idea from the attached latest photograph of mine. I am also emailing/sending to your email address two jpg files of my sigmodoscopy test for your ready reference please.
Regarding character of stool I can say only this much that normally after this problem I never allow the stool to harden, as I use a very refined isbgol powder (Fiber forte) regularly. I too use wheat bran in chappatis. I use to take green vegetables regularly. I have observed that by taking so many precautions also, in 08-10 days once my stool becomes hard. When the stool hardens, I have to strain more. This is the main cause of my problem.

You have about at least 20 kg extra weight for your height so try to lose some weight at least 10 kg over next three months.
Secondly, you should not use sofa or any soft cushioned chair to see. Sitting on such causes lots of anal problems including you are suffering.
Based on your symptoms, Sulphur 30C one dose (1-2 drops) in one glass plain water and take only one sip from this water daily for five days.
Feel free to ask if you have any confusion and if not then report after five days or so or early if you have any question or new problem meanwhile.

Thanks, Doc Saab, for your prompt response. I forgotten to inform that I feel better while lying on bed (on my stomach). Sooner, I will get relief from this problem. I will positively switch on to reduce my weight. Thanks for the prescription.

I think you are referring to rectal condylomata.
If that is so...then likely answer is Thuja.

As per sigmadoscopy it is rectal ulcer. There is no bleeding experienced. No pain after defecation. Early morning there is no pain but it starts after I sit regularly and increase gradually by afternoon/evening. I feel better after working hours when I am lying on my abdomen. Now I am on Sulphur 30C for 5 days upto 15 August as advised by Doc Rakesh Kumar.

Further it is not like a ring. it is on the one side and not visible from outside. It can be seen in the test only (sigmodoscopy).

Good Morning, I took sulphur 30C for 5 days. I did not feel any aggravation. The medicine has worked very well on one part of my problem i.e. constipation/hardening of stool. During these five-six days, I never felt to strain during defecation. Regarding, first part of my problem, I am feeling very confident, as it did not take much time in the toilet. However, regarding pain, I am still confused to comment. As Saturday and Sunday being weekly off I was not to sit regularly for 6-7 hours. I took rest by lying in bed. Yesterday (Sunday) without long sitting also I felt pain, but it was not that severe.
Please advice further.

Take a dose of Nitric Acid 200 2moro morning and for 24 hours don't take Sulphur or any other med.
After that you can take.

Sulphur alone healed the ulcer of Mr. Praveen Thakur as Sulphur was constitutional medicine for him though not covering all the symptoms.

I would like to say regarding your problem, that you have arrived at correct place and I am confident that like me you will be cured by homeopathic medicines. But for that you have to give each and every detail which is asked by the experienced doctors available at the forum and you will have confidence in them. Regarding my ulcer, I took the Sulphur 30C for 30-40 days and took lot of precautions which were given by the attending doctor saab.
I am a layman, but by now I know that each and every patient needs different medicine/potency/dose in homeopathy. The sulphur may not suit you. So Gaish, please post your every smallest details and possible cause of your problem etc. and you will positively get a good response from this forum.
