wittholding information

has anyone ever heard of a homeopath giving a remedy and wittholding which one it is?? I thought patient education was important in this area. I need to know what I am taking, and would never take it unless I know what it is. so what if I read about it?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Yes, I did a long distance treatment with someone from India and they would not tell me what I was taking. I think some do that so you don't argue with them about the accuracy of the remedy...makes their job easier...or, they don't want you to go out and buy the remedy on your own and then stop treatment with them (meaning that they lose money). I wouldn't recommend dealing with this person. Find someone who you are comfortable with.

a good question I have for you is, did it work? I guess that is the main thing, but I do not feel comfortable not knowing. I have argued or discussed accuracy of the remedy, but that doesn't stop me from at least trying it. if it works, no more discussion needed, right?

It really sounds like a power/control trip to me. And I would stay clear of this person!

it is true they don't want knowledge of the name remedy to cause me to read about it and have preconceived ideas about it. yet there are classes given to help people treat their children and pets, I thought patient education was important.
