Bowel problems please help
Hello, husband (aged 56) has been having some problems with his bowels and I'm wondering what will be best.He's complaining of a change in his bowel habits which is normally very regular for the past month or so. Not sure when it started but has been going on for a little bit.
He's now getting different times when he's either constipated or getting loose stool - sometimes with odd slimy bits and maybe some blood on occasions.
He also feels a bit bloated and gets some dull aches in his tummy some times (lower part) - its a bit better on lying and (embarrassingly) after passing wind. He's sleep's a bit affected now as he sometimes has to get up at night to go to the toilet. Consequently he's a bit irritable of late.
He's not a fussy eater so will eat most things - although he does like his steaks and his appetite is good, although luckily his weight has been coming down recently.
I have been trying to give up smoking for ages but thinking quitting might make him put on weight again (or maybe its still better to make him quit?).
He's otherwise fit and well (luckily been avoiding hospital so far!) so thinking there must be a nice natural remedy you can suggest?

Start with Nux Vomica 200
...two doses at interval of two hours in the evening.
Atleast 1/2 hour gap from dinner time.
Let him continue for a week.
If it helps, continue with one dose for another week.

Hello he's been taking the remedy for just over a week now. How long before we should notice a change?

Hello again, we have been trying the Nux Vomica 200 for a month and a half now. No improvements yet and if anything things are getting worse now. He's continuing to lose weight despite eating well which is worrying me now.
