Arthristis

My mom now 54 has had arthritis since she was 35. The last 3 years seem to be at its worse, not only is she in pain, however her mental state has gone way down hill. She now has trust issues, thoughts of dieing, and has just became real negative and mean. The drugs she is currently taking are as follows;
methotrexate 2.5 ml 10 pills a week
plaqenil 2 per day
celebex 500ml 2 per day
actonel 35ml once weekly
folic acid
humira injection by monthly

What kind of homeopathic remedy do you suggest? How long until we would see a difference?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her daily three doses of causticum 30c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for 3 days and report back.

I have been diagnosed with arthritis in 1984. I then consulted a homeopath. Briefly, I'm still very active, pain free and working. Completed post graduate degree 2008. Arthritis is a protein acid desease; a very strict diet for a reasonable time is required: NO to all of the following: meat, fish, eggs, milk, dried legumes, sugar in any form, salt, refined products, coffee, fried foods e.g. potatoe chips.

Lots of parsley and celery; apples, apples and more apples. This is not the diet sheet. If you are interested I'll post it on this forum. As I have said, the diet should be followed for a considerable time period after which I'll let you know what MUST be added. That is, if you respond to this posting. Good luck.

I have no knowledge of causticum. Will see if I can find additional info. I know devils claw helps ease the pain within a day or two. The dried (root) is very bitter. There is also Devil's claw capsules available - in combination with celery seed (The latter also for arthritus. However, as long as I watch my diet I do not have to resort to any of these treatments. Here goes:
1. Arthritus makes your joints feel cold so a mineral supplement is needed - a calcium magnesium combination such as 'Dolomite' (commercial name).
2. Use the devils claw as directed on the bottle/box until there is no more pain. I'll say use any proven homeopathic medication. (I was given some drops to use twice a day - don't know what it was)
3. The diet is the most important part of the treatment (and a life long commitment):
DIET

ADD NOTHING TO THIS DIET.
KEEP DRINKING (fruit juice) TO A MINIMUM.
EAT SLOWLY.
LAUNDER OFTEN.


BREAKFAST
One slice of brown/whole wheat bread with tomato
OR
Sweet melon (with a little buttermilk or plain yogurt – optional)
OR
Paw-paw (with a little buttermilk or plain yogurt – optional)

If still hungry or when hungry: eat apple, apple, apple (raw, baked or dried)


DRINKS
Any herbal tea, including Rooibos – NO MILK AND SUGAR
Apple juice – (Liquifruit/ Ceres/ Pure Joy - or you can make your own)


LUNCH AND SUPPER
Vegetable soup with lots of parsley and celery – no salt of binding agent
One slice of brown or whole wheat/grain bread (with margarine, i.e. vegetable spread, or butter – optional)
Lots of finely chopped celery (preferably soup celery – use the leaves) and parsley.
One tablespoon grated cheese.
Two medium potatoes, in the jacket, with a little margarine or butter.
Marmite.
Desert: Apples

COOKED VEGETABLES – for lunch or supper/dinner:
Cabbage, squash, carrots, string-beans, onions.

RAW VEGETABLES – for lunch or supper:
Cabbage, carrots, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber.
Please note:
• The vegetables specifically mentioned here are a must have.
• A little lemon juice can be sprinkled over the raw vegetables.
• Vegetables cooked with as little water as possible taste much better.
• Bread is limited to 3 slices per day if it is used for breakfast. Otherwise it is only 2 slices.
• Coming from a rich diet to this simple diet might result in a skin reaction, but it should clear within a few days.
• If this diet is strictly followed, one craves nothing.
• Weight loss naturally occurs but it is nothing to worry about. It gives you a lot of energy.
• Memory will improve remarkably. (A year on this diet gave me an almost photographic memory and that after I could not even remember that I have something that I was looking for in my hand.)
• If there is anything in the diet that you do not understand, do not hesitate to ask.
