new to homeopathy - catarrh/cough problems

I would be most grateful for help. Post a viral cold (two weeks ago) I have been left with a chesty cough (worst in the mornings) gritty eyes (glued up when first wake) and general catarrh. Traditional pharmacists say 'let nature take it's course' but I am finding this tiring and rather depressing. I have tried to do the online questionnaire and that suggests Pulsatilla Nigricans - but the general description says its suitable for a 'yielding' character and I'm not that. Guidance would be most appreciated :-)

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
please describe your personality, habbits, generals, response to weather, likes and dislikes etc.

also, tell us the modalities of the cold and the real sensations and locations.

male or female.

OK - will try my best :-)
Personality: competant, responsible, kind, easily hurt, hard working, enthusiastic, laughs a lot.
Habits: Work hard but early to bed. Eat well, drink alchohol moderately.
Response to weather: Doesn't really worry me what it does as long as it doesn't stop me doing what I want to! Have lived in Far East and tolerate heat but 'feel the cold'.
Likes and dislikes: difficult as I don't really know what you want here but I don't like rudeness, greed and boredom.
Cold: started ten days ago - the 'cold' has passed but I am left with congested chest, itching eyes which are glued up in the morning and excessive mucus. I sound 'thick with cold' Excessive coughing in the morning and is waking me at night.

Whoops - forgot to add 'female' and 55 if that helps ;-)

please take PHOSPHORUS 30C every four hours for some 2 days maximum. then you must stop.

if you note any changes earlier, just taper down the rest of the doses at 6 to 8 hours.

vinita,

Please take three doses of Calcarea Carb 200 as follows and report back after 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Nux Vomica 200 and Silicea 200 may be considered later if Calc Carb 200 doesn't help.

Apparently it may help. It will be better if you could submit full details.

Please copy the Questionnaire from the following thread
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/188925/
and post all the questions here duly answered. On that basis your remedy may be worked out.
