Somatisation, Depression & Anxiety Disorder

Dear Sir,

About 6 months back I started suffering from stress and tension, due my professional and personal problems. 6 months back, during the night (while having dinner) suddenly I have had tremendous sense of nausea and uneasiness in the head and chest, rapid heartbeat, breathlessness, tweaking of muscles, weakness in limbs, and a general feeling that I am going to pass out. It happened again a month back and I was referred to a neurologist by a local doctor. The neurologist diagnosed my problem as 'somatisation' and depression disorder, listening to my symptoms and prescribed Nexipride and Epitril. In the mean time I developed the worst symptom ... constant dizziness in my head. After medication for about 6 weeks, my anxiety and worries reduced to some extent but the dizziness in the head (while walking) continued. I changed my doctor and currently under the treatment of a neuro-psychiatrist. He has prescribed Nexito and Pregabid initially. But due to huge side effects of nausea, had to stop Nexito and continuing with Pregabid.

Current problem - (1) Dizziness in the head, while walking (does not feel the dizziness while lying down or for few moments after waking up from sleep in the morning); (2) Depression - constant worrying, lack of concentration, disliking of anything in general; (3) cannot take any form of sound (4) Tweaking of muscles (5) tingling/burning sensation in toes and fingers (6) cannot watch television, read newspaper, extremely restless (7) weakness, fatigue (8) suddenly waking up early in the morning. I will write down in detail in my subsequent posts. But I need help immediately.

Can I get response from Mr. Murthy as well.

Thanks,
VB

the choice is yours.

in homeopathy, correct diagnosis is possible only if all these answers are known.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your reply. It is impossible to stop Allopathic medicines right now, as I have to report to the doctor about my progress with the medicines.

Will it be OK for me to have the homeopathic medicines, along with the allopathic medicines?

Also I am having number of side effects of the anti depressant medicines ... like drowsiness, weakness in the limbs, constipation, nausea, etc.

I am having terrible dizziness in my head, as if something is getting very heavy in my head, then twisting my head downwards, as if going to throw me to the ground. There's also lack of balance while walking and slurred speech (this may be due to the effect of the allopathic medicine).

Kindly reply.

Regards,
VB

vb2008 last decade
if the vertigo is a side effect of the medicines you are taking, this cannot be cured by homeopathy as long as you are continuing the allopathy treatment.

after talking to your doctor, you can taper down the dose of the medicines and then start the homeopathy treatment after that.

rishimba last decade
Rishimba,
Is it not safe to reduce his allopathy medicine gradually?Stopping the medicine at once can bring uncontrolable aggrevation.Suggest him ur homeo remedy along with the decreased quantity of his previous medicines.

thats exactly what i suggested to the patient.

my recommendation was to taper down the dose gradually and check if its ok with the patient.

to some extent it depends on the patient if he can gradually wean himself off the allopathy medicines.

rishimba last decade
Dear Sir,

Would the homeopathic medicines have side effects too?

Regards,
VB

vb2008 last decade
no side effects but you can go through the healing crisis for a week before you start to get well.

you need to bare the healing crisis knowing that you are in the right direction.

some aggravation of symptoms may be there during this period.

in homeopathy, presenting mental and physical symptoms are considered to suggest the remedy.

the sensations are more important than the results of these tests.

Dear Dr(Brig)Sudarsanan,

Update from my side.

I took a decision about an year back to continue with the medicines prescribed by my Neuro-Psychriatic with patience and handling all discomfort, as much as I could. Couple of years, I felt I went through hell, but my persistence and faith in my doctor paid. My doctor's appropriate treatment along with my determination to bounce back, brought light back into my life all over again. It's been 4 months now since my medications have been tapered off and I feel on the top of the world again. I still continue have stressful personal and professional life, but I feel I am better equipped to handle life now.

I was extremely comfortable with my doctor's simplistic, encouraging, sympathetic and collaborative approach towards me. In fact, I have started helping patients of depression, encouraging them on the path to recovery and helping them find the right solutions to their agony.

Anyone who feels hopeless, depressed, remorsed, sad, etc. please feel free to write to me.

Regards,
VB

Dear Rana

Please take three doses of Sulphur 200c at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only one day) and report back after 15 days. If the remedy can give a boost to your will power just take the opportunity, stop smoking, start waking early and get doing pranayam. The remedy will only kick-start the process. The rest depends on your will power. You know everything.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
