Hi! I was wondering what the italics in blue in this link mean -aur.htm " rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/a/aur.htm
And in the following link -
aur-m-kn3.htm " rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://homeoint.org/hering/a/aur-m-kn3.htm

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am glad you are curious enough. :-)
Read the blue alone in the first link. It reads like this.
Great desire to commit suicide.Ennui.Disgust of life.Talks of committing suicide. Oversensitiveness to noise. Violent pain in head;worse at night, Extreme photophobia, upper half of objects invisible,Vascular cornea,Sticking pains inward,Obstinate fetid otorrha ,Ulcerated, painful,Putrid smell, swelling of testicles,Atrophy of testicles in boys,Sensation as if the heart stopped beating , rapid, feeble, irregular,High Blood Pressure..
These are the symptoms that are produced in majority of the provers and verified in practice, and hence forms the essence of the remedy.
A beginner should try to grasp these points first.

LOL, thanks, that seemed like a resolution to a word riddle :)
And how do we go about the 3 colors in the second link , with least marked in RED?
Thanks again,
Dodz.

The chapters marked in red are the locations of the body where this medicine has produced many effects.
Blue is second in the order.Grey is the least, and the other colour(???) is in between.
Even while grading the symptoms the same color code is followed. In normal text books you will find the most prominent symptoms printed in bold, the next in order will be printed in italics, and the last ones are in plain letters.
If you look in the reperteries the symptom, that you find in red in the text normally has a weightage of 3, those of blue have a weightage of 2, and the others one.
The reperteries also use the same bold, italic and plain letters to distinguish the weightages.
When you study a materia medica, you must first concentrate on the symptoms in bold(Red). Once you are familiar with these try to study those in italics(blue).
Most of the symptoms in plain letters are found in many medicines and are not that useful in zeroing on the medicine.
