suspected ear infection in a 2-year old

My son has had 4 recurrent ear infections in the last 3 months all 'treated' with antibiodics. One week max after completion of the antibiodic, the infection was back. So during the fourth one which was treated with augmentin I stopped the antibiodic and treated it with calc carb and garlic oil drops. It did not come back but meanwhile my son got sick with tonsilitis and his nose was completely blocked for 5 days and he only breath from the mouth. We did not give any antibiodics for the tonsilitis which is now over. But I suspect that he is about to get another ear infection as he sticks his finger in his left and right ear. Our ped insists that he must take antibiodics because his ears are full of fluid and it's a matter of time for it to get infected.

Calc carbonica is almost over. I was said to use for a month and I continue the garlic oil drops. I want a particularly effective homeopath remedy to treat this ear infection because it shows it face with severe pain and fever. What shall I use? Thank you very much.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Christiania.

First of all, you shuold not be using a chronic remedy such as Calc for moths at a time. We give a few doses then wait for a reaction.

The tonsilitis appearing after it's dissapearance, and then this reappearance after the tonsilitis subsided could also be evident that the Calc Carb mereley temporarily suppressed the complaint.

We would need to know a lot more about the condition before a remedy could be selected, but those to possibly consider would be Hepar Sulph, Pulsatilla, or Phosphorus. This selection though, of course would be based upon the totality of the case.

But I gave this remedy as prescribed by a practising homeopath..two capsules the first day one hour apart and then one every morning for a month.

Yesterday, I took him to that homeopath again. his left ear is clear..the right one has a rose (little bit red) eardrum but no fluid.

He said to continue calc carb for another month.!!!

Now Iam confused.

Calc.carb is definitely not to be used for months together.

As JCS said, you are only suppressing the problem, which may lead to more complex problems later.

Look for a homeopath who gives you minimum medicine, asks you to wait for maximum time and repeats/changes the medicine after careful thought.

WOW...I turned to homeopathy to avoid the suppressing of antibiodics and the danger of more complex problems. I can now see that they are pretty much the same thing.

Anyway, I don't know another homeopath. Iam in Cyprus. So Iam looking for suggestions from here. What are you suggesting? Stopping the calc carb and see what happens?

Please help!

Can someone stand by me in this thread?

Am I free to choose ANY of this remedy after calc carb or are there some remedies that should NOT be given immediately after calc carb?
