Pedestrian struck by car

Hi,

I was hit by a car when I was crossing the street and went flying to land on concrete. I was told I do not have any broken bones (thank god, because neither I nor the person who hit me has any insurance) but I am in a lot of pain, have a lot of swelling in my legs and hip where I landed, have skin bruising and was told by the doctor my bones were bruised.

I am also in a great deal of fear because I don't know how I'm going to pay the medical bills and I keep seeing the accident in my head over and over. I'm also furious at the person who hit me. It's the law that you have to have insurance and he did not. Truthfully I wasn't really angry until I found that out.

Please help me to find some remedies to help with the pain, swelling, brusing and anxiety... and I suppose anger too. Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Probably Aconite first to help with the fear and anxiety.

Definitely Arnica to help with the pain swelling and bruising.

Arnica might work well enough that you don't need the aconite.

Possibly Symphytum for the bone injury (definitely helps with breaks, I'm not so sure about bruising).

At any rate, get some Arnica into yourself as soon as possible. (I consider it work carrying around with me.)

Arnica 200C if you can find it, otherwise 30C.

Talk to a decent legal representative about seeking compensation - that is your legal right, do not give up on that.

If the driver does not have insurance then they have to pay you any compensation awarded personally. Just because they do not have insurance does not mean they get away with hurting you scot-free.

Good luck!

Thank you both for your replies.

I located Arnica Montana 30c (could not locate 200). The directions read to take 5 pellets 3 times a day until symptoms disappear. I am assuming this is ok. I already took one dose and am calmer. (I don't know if arnica is supposed to do that or if it's all in my head that I'm calmer, but I'm definetly happy that I'm calmer.)

As for legal, yes, I do plan to contact a lawyer Monday. I just hate going that route but you're right, I am entitled to have that person pay my medical bills. I'm upset the cop did not catch he did not have insurance at the time since he would have also been sited for that and lost his license, but I'm sure the cop did what he could. I'm just angry about the whole thing.

Thanks again for your replies.

Don't take more than six doses consecutively. Arnica helps you to become calmer. No doubt about that.

If the pains linger on even after six doses of Arnica, take Rhustox 30c, three doses a day for two days and stop.

You will recover fully.

All the best.

Ask your legal representative about the insurance situation re the other driver. The police may press charges as a result. They don't have to do so at the scene...
