Sudden Tinnitus From Jet Noise | From MSphar [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-12-06 |

On October 7th of this year I was exposed to jet noise for a brief moment and have tinnitus. My tympanogram and audiogram was normal.
Age=53
Sex=male
No discharge. Intermittent dull pain.
No previous Hx of ear problems. No Hx of diabetes or hypertension. Only brief exposure to jet noise. No medication being taken.
In conversations with MD's they say"It will eventually go away" but symptoms remain.
One MD said that I might have "tympanitis".
I look forward to your feedback with great interest. Thank You, Mike |

Pankaj-
BP within normal parameters. Vital signs stable.
No Hx of vertigo.
No Hx of dizzyness.
Excellent general health.
Hx of childhood illnesses include colds and flus that have all resolved.
I am meticulous about ear plug protection but had a brief encounter with low flying jets. Thx.-Mike |
