skin problems

I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis last year and given a couple of scripts. Well they don't really work but I use them time to time as they can aleviate some of the redness and itching. I have crusty skin around my eyelids, and mouth. Then on my neck, both arms and chest I have red itchy dry skin that does flake. Well last year after seeing 5 different doctors for this problem I have all but given up hope of finding out exactly what is wrong with me. From time to time I will search the internet for some information. Now one thing that I have found interesting is the corrlation between seborrhec dermatitis and stomach meds. I have had stomach problems for years now and live on Rolaids and Tums. I understand they can block Zinc and the lack of Zinc could be the source of my skin problems. So I changed they type of stomach pills I was taking and that seemed to help, and I have added Zinc suppliments. both seemed to help for several weeks but now I am having an out break again and nothing really has changed.
Now is something really strange and interesting. Last night I was looking at my husbands eyelids, they are crusty, scaly, itchy and red. hmmmm. looks like mine do sometimes, except that my hubby doesn't take rolaids or tums and this is like the 2nd or third time this has happened to him in the past 6-8 months. could it be something in our house that we are not aware of? Maybe insulation or something?
this skin problems also affects my left hand and left foot, but not all the time. I get a small raised dot in the center of my palm and it hurts, burns, itches and sometimes spreads sometimes just goes away in a few days. (This has happened on several occasions over the past 7yrs) The foot just started doing this over the past 6months. very very irrtiating.

Any thoughts, advice, or help are welcome.

thanks
