Parkinson's : a new patch (transdermal ) drug available now?

I am from Vancouver, Canada. My mother has been suffering from Parkinson's disease the last 6 years. She thinks that all the medications that she is taking are making her G.I. system, liver and the kidneys worse.
She mentioned that a new patch drug to reduce symptoms of PD was avaiable in the U.S. but not in Canada yet. Does anyone have any experience or know anything about this drug ?
