Son's eyebrow piercing infected, help!

So can anyone give my son some help? He has a new eyebrow piercing and it has become red and sore. What would be the best treatment? Thank you in advance

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
An antibiotic must be used immediately to prevent any infection to the eye and brain.

You mean there is a boil over it?

Joe, seems like we both posted at the same time.

Welcome again Joe.

Oh! now I get it, eyebrow piercing.

Lachesis 30 suits that specific situation but get the proper first-aid as Joe De Livera has recommeneded.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I should have given more information. He has a new eyebrow piercing, it is about 3 weeks old now. Tonight he told me it is getting red and a little tender. I prefer to not use antibiotics and think we are getting to this before there is a need for them. Is denatured alcohol the best for cleaning and tending to a new piercing? And once it has become infected, as it is now, how do we best stop it from progressing? Thanks for any help in advance.

use and antiseptic, tea tree, or witchazel to clean. Carefully clean (remember to rotate the stud (or turn the ring) as appropriate) with a q-tip/cotton bud dipped in whatever antiseptic you use. It may be best to put the antiseptic in some lukewarm water (first boiled and cooled to lukewarm)to aid comfortable cleaning.
Use ledum initially - a low potency frequently or a high potency less frequently, stop when improvement occurs and repeat again if needed.
If it feels hot (to person and to touch) and throbbing (to person) use belladonna instead of ledum until the hot throbbing inflammation subsides (30-200c)and follow-up with ledum. If this does nothing consider Lachesis, rhus-tox, calendula and arnica, any other injury remedies if any of the symptoms of them fit the situation.
The main thing is cleansing and moving the inserted bit carefully to prevent it sticking.
IF THIS DOES NOT HELP AND IT GETS WORSE, WITH ANY FEVER, HEADACHE OR ILLNESS FEELING SEEK A DOCTOR FOR ANTIBIOTIC ADVICE - this is meant not as shouting in capitals but as NB important :)
