Baby with congested nose, and cough

Hi
I have a 9 month baby, who has a congested nose, a bad cough, and the usual cold symptoms.
Everytime she falls asleep she starts coughing badly, and keeps waking up, also because she has trouble breathing.
I've been giving here a lot of fluids, and using vapours. Is there any homeopathic medicine I could use to help relieve the symptoms?
Thank you very much in advance

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please read about sambucus, hepar sulph and lycopodium and see which one fits.

You can read about them here.

Use:
Mag Mur 30 : 5 drops x 1/2 cup water x 4 times x 10 days

Drosera 1M : 5 drops x 1tsp water x Single Dose at Bedtime.

Justicia Q : 10 drops x 1/2 cup warm milk x 4 times a day.

Drosera requires 48hrs to start action and after that she will be fine.

If U have any queries reply

Thank you very much for your replies,Pradipde and generalmanager.

Pradipde:

I can only get Mag. Mur and Justicia in the LM potencies (L1 to L15) - [LM(1 in 50,000) (LM)]. Do you know what potency is adequate in this case?

Thank you for your help

pradipde prescription is clearly a false suggestion, and completely against the rules of homeopathy.

Hi everyone,

I took my daughter to the homeopath. I had already an appointment when I first posted here, but that day I needed some urgent help to manage her cough, because her doctor was out of town, and could only see her in 3 days.
As immediate relief I used Sambucus Nigra, as suggested by someone here, which I had in my kit, and it helped to some extent.
Anyhow, here is what the homeopath prescribed:
Drosera 5CH
Ipecac 5CH
Luffa operculata D6
Sambucus Migra D4
for immediate treatment.

Cal. carb. 15ch
Sulphur 15ch
Influenzinum 15 ch.
as prevention

I want to thank everyone, that offered their help, I was really distressed that day, as I think any mother would be that situation.

have a great evening

Gavini,
Now chase the doctor who prescribed medicines to the baby.

When i told, then its not homeopathy......

And what about the doctor....

Lizzy

I suggest to dump all the medicines in the dust bin, and change your doctor.

I know, it is painful, but your child's health should be of paramount importance to you.

Single remedy at a time, can help your daughter towards cure.

So many medicines at a time will suppress the condition, and your baby may land into more serious problems.

Please read the 'article on pseudo homeopathy' and 'the theory of suppression'.

Go to a homeopath, who gives one medicine at a time, and waits for response.

If you don't have any other homeopath near by, who treats this way, come back here. We can work out a proper schedule, with the medicines you have.

Hi everyone,

I had already read the theory of supression, and I just read the other article, very interesting.
This homeopath doctor is the last of a few I’ve tried before, and wasn’t happy about.
Usually she doesn’t prescribe several remedies at a time. For instance, my eldest daughter, who has a glue ear problem with yellowish nasal discharge has been taking Pulsatilla exclusively, and every 2 months takes Phosphorus (for her rattling cough).

My knowledge of homeopathy is limited, so I have to trust the professionals. But, I’ve noticed that, like allopatic doctors, sometimes they don’t seem to agree with one another. One will say this, the other one will say something entirely different. I sometimes wonder if they didn’t learn all from the same books, and principles.

Just out of interest, in your opinion what would be the best then to give my youngest daughter?

She is very happy baby in general, always smiling. Lately because she is teething she is a lot more clingy, and needy, and cries more often too.
She sweats a lot (head and feet mostly). Sometimes, her eyes, and nose get very red. She has a pale complexion, fair skin. Her main problem, even when she doesn’t have a cold, is the post-nasal drip. Now because of the cold, it got worst and makes her have coughing fits. Her lungs, and chest are clear. The main problem is really her nose. She has also a clear discharge from her nose.

I can’t remember of any additional symptoms I should mention.

I would welcome some input.
Thank you all, have a wonderful day.

Try Drosera whatever potency you have, just one dose and wait.

Report after two days.

Dear Liz,

I support the views putforth by Murthy. Taking the symptom similarity in to consideration the most similimum seems to be Drosera. It being acute case, repeat Drosera 3oc thrice a day for 2 days and get back to the forum.

Sharada.

Dear Sharada

Hahn. specifically advises against repeating Drosera.

if it is the correct medicine,a single dose,is enough.

'The cure takes place with certainty in from seven to nine days, under a nonmedical diet. Care should be taken not to give a second dose (or any other medicine) immediately after the first dose, for that would inevitably not only prevent the good result, but do serious injury, as I know from experience.)
