Seborrheic Dermatitis and Excessive Earwax

Hi everyone,

I am new to these forums and seeing what has been posted. I would like to just get some stuff off my chest and see if I could possibly find answers to what I am looking for.

I am a 23 year old male. And I have a somewhat mild case of Seborrheic Dermatitis. I have it on my scalp, chin, upper lip, on the nose, sides of the nose, center of the chest, brow area, and sideburns. It started when I was 18. To say the very least when it flares up I become very low self-esteemish and will not go out even if someone paid me. Another thing I hate about it is when it does flare up, it hurts. It feels like the skin gets so dry it thightens. And the itching, don't even get me started on the itching.

For treatment I have always used Cortizone cream to treat the areas. But I am starting to notice it does have side effects such as hair growth where applied. Is there a safer way to control the outbreak? Something that will work as good as Cortizone but without the side effects?

Also I suffer from excessive earwax in my left ear. Is there a way to control that? I am afraid of getting an ear infection from over the counter earwax softener. Which I have used with no success whatsoever. Any help with any of my questions would be greatly appericated!!!

That thread does not offer any solution at all.

Causticum and Thuja are two remedies for the above problem.

Hi, I am 37 years old and have had SD for over 20 years.
I was wondering if anyone had tried Candidol.
After reading various web-sites I think this may de a solution.
Has it been successful for anyone?

I've had severe Eczema for 35+ years on my scalp and ears. I've tried every salve, cream, soak and shampoo. Foderma serum is very calming. It's not a quick fix. It's a serious, healing serum. It's not heavy and gloopy either.
