Tinnitus-for over 20 yrs
I have had tinnitus for over 20 years in both ears, a high pitched ringing sound. Although no one else can hear it, when I was having a massage, the massage therapist said he could feel the vibration go up his arm, when he inserted his fingers into my ears. It began in my late twenties. I had a blow to my head leaving me with a detached retina at age 12, and used tetrocycline for acne in my twenties. I have tried chiropractic, cranial sacro therapy, accupuncture, hypnosis, chinese herbs, herbal remedies, have had an MRI (no tumor, and diet changes. It has never gotten better. I'd appreciate any suggestions.Thank you,

To update my first post, my name is Lauren Oliver, female, age 51, married, 150 lbs, 5'8', and live in the USA. Complaint is med to loud high pitched ringing in my ears for over 20 years-of course, most noticably at night-but also during the day. The sound is constant. We have 4 seasons, spring, summer, fall & winter-I live in New England. I am not a diabetic, have had intensive blood/liver tests. I crave sugar all the time. Not thirsty, except at night. I wake from sleep during the night very thirsty, and keep water by the bed. My tongue is dry-at night only. BP is 120 over 70. Also sufffer from anxiety and take clanazepam at night-helps me to sleep and keeps me relitively calm during the day. Also take prometrium and estradial (natural form of Hormone Replacement meds).
Also take vitamin/calcium/fish oil/flax seed oil, and a detox formula suggested by my dr (naturapath). My mother complained of tinnitus and meniere's disease, and died of colon cancer. Many heart problems on my father's side of the family. I work mostly at a computer all day, and seem to have small panic attacks when driving. No food seems to increase the tinnitus. I am a type 1 personality. A perfectionist. I have a happy home life. I had a blow to the head as a child (detached retina) and took antibiotics for acne in my 20's. Tinnitus began in my late 20's. A few years ago, I tripped and hit my head. Outrageous tinnitus-a whole different sound-roaring sound-lasted 1 month, and a chiropractor - who I saw almost daily was able to bring the sound down, then it would reappear a few days later, and more adjustments-then it finally disappeared.

I am Mrs. lakshmi Pillai, 39 yrs age. Staying in Mumbai.
, I am suffering from severe kind of allergy due to which I am getting continuous sneezes for the past 26 years.
I am allergic to many things like, sour food, fruits, cold food, change of climate, dust, etc.
If I get sneezes, it will remain for 1-2 days & I will be sneezing violently the full day continuously.

Because of my sneezing regularly, both of my ears have got affected for the past 25 years I am suffering my ear disease
For nearly 12 years , from my ears hammering sounds used to come with a gap of 5 mts in both ears.
Then one morning hammering sounds had gone and in its place buzzing sounds in both my ears are coming nonstop

tinnitus comes from the brain and there is no cure .
try wearing a tinnitus masker if you learn to live with it you won,t hear it and it won,t bother you though its there .
