What type of silicea/silica should I use?

Hello all,

This is my first time posting. I have read all of the posts on Silica helping acne scarring and I'm wondering which kind I should order from this website. I have heard some people have had success with 3x and some with 6x. I hear that the low potency works better for scarring because it is absorbed better. What dose number should I use based on best experiences? Also, should I order it in pellet form or liquid dose? I have heard wet doses are usually best, is this right for silica?
I would like to make my own eventually usuing stream rocks, but am presently studying in Ireland and don't have a car to go rock hunting or a hummer, but eventually will take a look for rocks when I have some time.
In the mean time I would like to order some silica, so any advice is much appreciated, Or, if you recommend a different remedy for acne scarring, am open to suggestions. I heard of something that induces a deep sleep and is supposively good (forget name), would this be better, or could I use both at one time? Thanks again in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If anyone knows the answer to these questions about dose of silicea/silica, please instruct me so that I can order some. Thanks. Or arnica...is that better?

Dear elloello.

The best form of Silicea to use for scarring is crude colloidal. You can take this daily as directed on the pack, and it is available in most health stores.

Best wishes.

Thanks Jacob,

where are you located that you're able to find crude colloidal silicea in health stores, so far Ihave only been able to find a Silica complex made with 500mg of horsetail herb (the source of silica in this tablet).

What form (tablet, liquid)is this colloidal silicea and what dose should I take?

Thanks again for your advice.

I'm in the UK, it's freely available here. Horsetail is a good source, but it is a medicinal herb in itself, and as such will have other effects aside from providing a source of Silicea. Colloidal Silicea comes as a thin gel, which is then diluted in water. The dosage instructions are given on the packing.

Thanks again,

I just ordered some from the web site you suggested. I am in Dublin and have not seen this form of silica, so I am glad you were able to direct me to the site. I also ordered MSM (sulfer). Would it be okay to take both? Just at different times of the day?

Also, I am curious if you yourself have had luck with this form of silica or if you know some one who did and what the results were like.

Best wishes

Dear ello.

I see no reason why the two supplements should interact in any way, but I have never actually used both together. I certainly haven't heard of any interactions, although you might want to check up on this.

I've never actually used this form of Silicea for this specific purpose i.e acne scars, but I have seen it have some quite dramatic effects on scar tissue in general. I have though HEARD of some good results for acne sufferers when used both internally, and applied to the skin.

Good luck!

Dear Jacob,

So you have heard of those with acne scarring using it internall (dissolved in drink) and applied directly to scars as well? Do you know many months it takes to see some sign of healing of scar tissue with this method?

Best wishes

Also, Jacob, do you know the potency of the crude colloidal silica? Example, 3x, 6x, etc?

Thanks for helping me.

Best wishes.

Um, it's crude Silicea, it's not a Homoeopathic remedy. Crude=material substance.

...and you're welcome :)

Thanks Jacob, I didn't realize it wasn't a homeopathic remedy. Do you think it will be as effective? Well, I suppose you do because you suggested it. So this silica isn't natural? I don't know if I like the idea of that.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for the best silica to use for acne scarring besides the homemade 'rock juice'? I don't mean to sound if I'm doubting you Jacob, I just haven't ha anyone else respond to my post.

Thanks again.

It's totally natural, it's just flint/sand basically, same as the Homoeopathic remedy is made from, it's just in the crude and colloidal form. Silica (rather than silicea, I think we only spell it that way in Homoeopathy, not sure, so forgive me for that previously) is one of the primary nutrients your body uses to heal scar tissue, hence why some use it for the same purpose in Homoeopathy.

Jacob,

You have been very helpful. I wonder if I should not continue to use my regular skincare regime (302 skincare--natural and non-acid) as it involves both cleanser and topicals.

Maybe I should try ingesting the silica gel as well as applying it to the scarred tissue. I believe it will arrive in the mail this week.

What are your thoughts onthis?

Best wishes
