Can Silica have caused my prolonged menstrual bleeding?

I am experiencing unusually prolonged menstrual bleeding (for the first time ever), though the amount of blood is not much more than the usual amount.

My past 3 period were markedly scantier than usual and this was one of the reasons I consulted a homeopath. I was given Silica some 19-20 days ago and my period started with very light flow. Then the amount increased, but still it was light to moderate, not at all heavy. But the bleeding has been going on for almost 2 weeks now and since yesterday large clots have started to come out.

Could it be that Silica is eliminating 'unneeded' matter from my body? I suppose my menstruation could have been suppressed for some reason, since the three past periods were much lighter than usual. If this is the case, I suppose the excess blood would have to come out some time - possibly now. Is this correct?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Silica has a tendency to
'throw out ' problems ---
as distinct from Hep sul which promotes absorbtion and elimination via the lymph system.

Do not let the bleeding go on for too long.

If it is prolonged then Ipecac or Hep sul may be good remedies to use.

Thank you for your reply!

I've started taking Thlaspi Bursa Pastoris 6C (Shepherd's Purse) - once an hour. I've taken it 5 times so far, but I haven't noticed any improvement yet. I'll keep taking it and wait for 24 hours to pass. Then I will talk to the homeopath again.
