Hot and cold remedies

How is that in Kent's repertory Lyc is presented as a 'aggravated by cold' remedy but in dr. Miller's hot and cold remedies list and in other resources Lyc is presented by 'agg. by heat', not even hot-cold remedy? Is that possible to obtain different results by analysing a case with different repertories? In fact, which is the best and most accurate repertory to use?? I am an engineer, with a mathematical logic, and I think that as long as a simillum is unique for a person at a certain moment, any repertory you use must lead to the same remedy.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Sorry homeopathy does not work by logic. It is an art rather than a science.
It is wise and useful to refer to more than one repertory but always you will come up with differing results.
Often a remedy is worse for
A hot
B cold.
Only experience aand intuition will lead to the correct remedy for an individual case.

I am sure others will have different views
Interesting question.

Apart from modalities....the mind symptoms play a very important role in selection of the remedy.

'Lycopodium" people are very firm with their opinions and rarely accept opposition to their opinions....they also have lot of flatulence. Normaly profound thinkers....have early greying of hair.

I asked this question because I red in 'KENT : REPERTORISING
By Margaret Tyler and John Weir' that if a 'agg. by cold' is well marked in a case, you certainly should eliminate all the remedies 'agg. by heat' from the analysis. This should lead to the proper remedy.
Also I asked this because, after a long analysis, I was prescribed Lyc. by a homeopath and although it led to a relative improved state this remedy did not solve my case. And after all I started to develop typical symptoms associated with Lyc., symptoms that I had not before. I observed that my hair started to go white faster, my sexual appetite weakend and so on. It seems that I was proving the remedy.
By the way, can somebody tell me exactly how it works with 'proving a remedy'? I red about healthy volunteer who test remedies as a prover but I wonder if these remedies affect them for life or are antidoted after the test period and all would be ok ?! I mean, on the other side, that if you consult many qualified homeopaths and they prescribe you wrong remedies would they make you sicker than before with no further chance to heal you? If you develop typical symptoms to a remedy that do not cure your case would this led you to a permanent state where you can not be as before? Isn't it possible to start again from the former point, to try with a new selected remedy?

must start form symptoms and characteistics as they exist at time --remedy selection is baed upn tis--and yes imprper chosen reeides do effct case--yethis happens--it is knowing what to do in these times tha determnes how much complication occurs....this why mportant not repeat dose beyond its effcetiveness--and dose remdy be modified accordingly..all in all--itis the respnsiblity of prescriber to assess response of each dose of remedy(s) use..

Sorry John, but I hardly understand your typing style or english! Is that a shorcut style?

Walkin, I agree with you that homeopathy is an art but I consider that there is a such a small number of 'artists' in homeopathy so they are hard to be found, because most of homeopaths are not so good. I consulted many and I can say the results were not spectacular, not saying that some of them prescribe you a diagram with many remedies taken one after another, this being against principles of homeopathy as I red!

I took this special symptom 'agg. by cold' because I am in general a cold person ( my body temperature is about 35.4 degrees Celsius most of the time ) and I observed that, after Lycopodium I felt colder than before.

Nobody answered me which is the best repertory?
