Are we slow?

We've had a report that our new super-dooper server has been running slowly. I've not observed this myself, but has anyone else?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Here everything goes fast. Things have greatly improved since the new server is doing it's job!

My report was based on the fact I observed yesterday and even this morning that when I posted a reply it took for ages for the software to accept it and add it to the thread.

Right now it is fast and I hope that it will stay that way.

I have not observed it to be slow. Perhaps you may remember my posting when it was really slow. Presently the response is good. All the servers have to become slow at some point of time, but they will not be slow for ever, unless there is a basic reason or fault. This fault was there before, now I fail to see the same. The slowness, when too many accesses are there, for any server, is a known factor in network engineering, in which I am working for decades.

May be it is 'internet tampering' in Sri Lanka like 'ball tampering ' in cricket in England !!

May be in some cases; But I have not felt it like this. the people may be facing their internet connection speed problem

Hi all,

Yesterday was a relatively busy day for the server; so if it was fast enough then, it's probably fine. The slowness is likely to be in the international connection - the BBC (whom Joe cited as fast at the time we were slow) no doubt has a mirror server in Sri Lanka, whereas we don't.

Pankaj, I have a mischevious friend whose surname is Ball; I'll ask him.

There was a 'Hair' in the cup of tea which fell from the 'beard of Inzamam Haq' (Pakistani cricket captain)...during the tea break at the Lords.

It has made big controversy.
