acne or rosacea? | From LesleyA [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-08-21 |

Hi
I have always had clear, very good skin up until about a year and a half ago. I developed waxy skin then a couple of months later I broke out in terrible spots; white heads, black heads and pustules. I am very fair with sensitive skin and only use good products on my skin. Although I don't have spots alover my body, my skin now has a waxy texture all over. My hair becomes greasy very quickly now also. The spots are all over my face, some on my scalp, around my hair line, the back of my neck and on my shoulders. This started at about the same time I was given a Beclometasone inhaler for asthma. I have not used the inhaler for about 2 months but there has been no improvement in my skin. After the spots started I also stopped using my contraceptive pill. I am currently taking Lymecycline 408mg once a day. I have had other tablets but they did not work either and the cream I was given burnt my skin. I have also seen a dermatologist but they told me to continue taking the medication I already have and could offer no other advice other that to say that they thought I may have rosacea, which I don't agree with. I have a friend with rosacea and my symptoms are different. I have no flushing at all, no swelling of the cheeks and no eye problems. I have a very stressful job. I don't sleep well. I'm also having nightmares. I sometimes get migraine headaches and at other times just the auras. I'm really genuinly surprised that nobody seems to be able to help. Does anybody have any suggestions that could help or ease my symptoms? |

Sorry Carlotta, of course I meant; What other INFO would you need?
I'm happy to supply more info if someone can offer ideas. I'm rather low about this as it's unexpected and I can't seem top control what's happening to my body. | This thread continues beneath the following ad.

Hi Lesley - i really understand - and i'd like to help, but i don't have the expertise or experience to go as deep into your case as you may need to , so on the face of it you may respond to pulsitilla ,as i say, but may need to go deeper as there is lung involvement which seemed to precipitate acne and underlying emotional too and stress / sleep patterns . Need to address this layer by layer - email john at seemefree AT hotmail DOT com . | | |
