pimple on labia

Hi there. I posted this on an old topic string, but it didn't get read so am starting a new thread. I have a small pimple on the right labia. Sometimes it flares up to a soft yellow spot as if it would burst, other times it is a harder pimple appearing as if it will go away, only to come back as the softer version a few days later. It could be a blocked hair follicel perhaps. I know it is affected by diet and stress. I was taking one 6c pellet of mercurius vivus 4 times a day (for about 2 weeks)- but nothing changed (judging from other entries this too low a dose?). i switched to Merc Sol 4x6c pellets 3 times a day for last week - nothing so far. I was also putting mercurius vivus cream on 2-3 times a day and have just switched to tea tree cream. But it seems to me like a cream is the wrong thing to dry it out, which is what it needs. I have resisted the temptation to pop it as I know a serious infection can result. I have had this since Xmas. I also had it once or twice as a teenager (I confess I squeezed them in those days and they went - but never would now). I am 48. As yet I haven't tried switching back to mercurius vivus and increasing the dose. I would apprieciate advice. Many thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I should add that it is freaking me out - not least because my mother-in-law died a few months ago from something that started in a very similar way. She squeezed hers - it got infected - a chain of events occured including a diagnosis of cancer (misdiagnosis the family believes). Anyway, its a long story that sadly no one can help her now. But I would be glad of any help those who have used homeopathy to cure a boil or spot on the genital area expereince, or qualifications in homeopathy to offer advice. One doctor has kindly emailed me with some advice, but I'd be grrateful to get a fuller picture. Thanks!

Dear Lena,

First of all stop taking Merc Sol as it has nothing to help you.
I advise you to take Sepia 30 one dose daily for 5 days.Report after 5 days.If any aggravation or any change is there then contact me.

Dear Dr.Dinesh,

I have ordered the Sepia - it should arrive tomorrow. Can you/ another expert also recommend a cream or tincture to put on it?

Thanks

Lena

Hi Dr Dinesh,

It's day 3 with the Sepia and it is slightly worse. I think because I woke up cold (the window was open, the weather had changed) and put my duvet on. I got warm and sweated a bit. Sweating always seems to bring it to a white head, which it is this morning. I think the problem is a blocked hair follicle - or an infected follicle. I was reading a string on this site about a lovely young lady with infected hair follicles on the legs. Hers started after a visit to her grandmas. Mine started while visiting mother in law at Christmas (see above). She had staphylococus and other infections. I do remember scratching myself there once (on the know problem area)after a visit, though I had washed my hands. But I think if it was something like that it would have spread which thank God it hasn't. I think it is a blocked hair or sweat gland. There are a lot of hairs around the area. The other thing I should mention is that since Xmas when it came up, most underwear irritates me. I try to find 100% cotton but they only seem to sell 95% these days. The fabric of the duvet, the blankets I had in the winter all made it worse. I will continue with the Sepia for another 2 days and we will see.. Another doctor suggested HEPAR SULPHURIS 200C and take three times a day for seven days. also take Echinacea which I will send off for in case the Sepia doesnt't work. What do you think?

Thanks so much

Lena

Dear Lena,

Well I advise you to take rest doses and wait.
If you wanna go with other medicine then no probs. But i advise you to follow one Doctor at a time.
Do not be hasty. You will be fine.Is there any discharge from that eruption?

Dear Dr Dinesh,

Yhanks you for yout reassurance I will stick with the Sepia then. There is no discharge from it as the skin above is is quite thick, though it has varying degrees of yellow stuff under the skin. Yesterday it went down again and almsot dried up. Today back full force. My right gum also sore today - ate some chewy meat, but shouldnt have got so sore. The pimple on my right labia seems to be related to heat and covering - ie hot weather, underwear, covers etc make it worse. It is also worse last thing at night and first thing in the mornings. It throbs if I am angry or scared or highly stressed. During the ealry part of the day (11-4) it shrinks a bit. Weird thing! Thsnks again for your help. I am getting desperate for it to be cured after what happened to my mother-in-law - I don't want some conventional doctor getting the surgeoan's knife out on me!
