Hi:
I am a 34 years old male, and suffering from stomach acid and gastrities. What happens that after about 3-4 hours of eating, the upper part of the stomach(Near the food pipe starts to hurt). However if I eat a littlebit it goes away, and comes back whenever the stomach is empty.

Please help.
Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Your stomach is starting you on the road to GERD in a few months.

The remedy for you is Nat Phos 6x biochemic cell salt. Dose 2 tablets to be taken after meals twice daily. It is quite safe to use this remedy on a daily basis and you will observe that you have almost instant relief after you take the tablets. You should be able to stabilize your problem in about a month when you will not need any medication at all.

The reason for your stomach pain 4 hours after a meal is because your gastric juice is being secreted without any food in the stomach and this results in the stomach digesting itself. You are advised to eat a biscuit or fruit in between meals to ensure that the gastric juices are kept away from the stomach lining by digesting the food that you have eaten in between meals.

You can also use Arnica 30c in the wet dose made by inserting 3 pellets of this remedy into a 500ml bottle of spring water which is succussed or shaken hard before you sip a teaspoonful twice daily.

Report response in a few days.

Also type GERD into the Search Forums window on the left of your screen for further information on the therapy that I have recommended for your ailment.

Thanks Dr Joe:
I will buy the Nat Phos 6x today. How long after the meals I should take it. Also DO I have a problem of excessive gastric juice?
Thanks

You can take the Nat Phos immediately after a meal or shortly after, whichever is more convenient.

I believe that the reason for the pain and discomfort 4 hours after a meal can only indicate that your stomach is secreting too much gastric juice and the pain is when the gastric juice eats away the stomach lining.

You will observe that in a few days, all will be well.

Report response as requested after you take the Nat Phos 6x.

You may like to follow Kuldeep's method of making Nat Phos which I believe is as good as the homeopathic remedy.

I started on Nat Phos 6x from yesterday. I felt that I did not have the reflux that comes to my throat and heartburn after that. However after about 3 and a half hours after my dineer and at about 3 hours after breakfast today, I felt pain in the upper part of stomach. I am drinking cold cow milk and a biscui when I have pain, and that goes away and comes back in anhour and half(At that time I take a heavier meal. From this night I will start arnica.
Hope it helps, and thanks for your advise

The reason for your pain 3 hours after a meal is due to the secretion of gastric juice in your stomach when there is no food to digest.

These gastric juices then commence to erode the mucus lining in the stomach which is always renewed and is essential to keep the powerful gastric juice from the stomach muscles. After digesting the mucus the gastric juice then proceeds to attack the muscle lining the stomach and this is when your first feel the pain.

The remedy is simple. Keep a few biscuits or fruit always handy and keep your stomach from digesting itself by eating something whenever you feel even slightly hungry.

I presume that you are using Nat Phos as advised regularly.

Dr Joe:

Thanks for recommending Nat phos and arnica. I am way better now after 6 days of taking. Here is what is happening:
1) No more light yellow thrush on toung in the morning
2) Mouth and tooth feels clean
3) No gas/belching
4) The stomach pain is almost gone. Earlier it was 3 hours after eating. Now about 5 hours, but by that time I eat.
5) The quality of my stool has improved
6) Sleeping very sound
7) I still feel some acidity on eating heavy meals but managable.

I will continue nat phos. However I have not yet seen the weight loss ohenomenon yet.

Glad to note that in just 5 days you have already observed considerable improvement in your gastric status.

I am confident that you can be cured in a few weeks when you will not need to use the Nat Phos except after you eat a heavy meal which in any case you are advised not to indulge in.

Please note that you must never permit hunger pains to occur as this only indicates that the gastric juice is eroding your stomach lining. Ensure that you eat small meals to keep the stomach occupied.

The expected weight loss not occuring is the least of your problems but this may also follow your current therapy.

Dr.Joe:
After about 4 month, the gastri pain came back again. It pains at the upper part of the stomach after about 3-4 hours of eating. I am starting to eat nat phos 6x, and arnica. Please let me know if there is any other remedy needs to be taken.

Nux vom. :

Generally worse after eating; the pains in the stomach coming two or three hours after eating.

Nat. phos. :

Gastric derangements with symptoms of acidity; sour eructations, sour vomiting, sour diarrhoea.

Anac. orient. :

Pain in stomach > by eating; always worse when stomach is empty.

Read this and see how to differentiate one medicine from the other.

Even Nux.V may not cure you permanently, because it is based just on one symptom and not on totality. It may however give you temporary relief, as a acute remedy.

Go and see a classical homeopath.

To Amitra

It is obvious that the combination therapy that I prescribed , Nat Phos 6x and Arnica 30c has helped you to avoid any gastric problems in the future as you have not had any problems for 3 months.

You are advised to use Nat Phos 6x whenever you feel uncomfortable after a meal as this amazing remedy is able to change the acidity level with just 2 little tablets and ensure that the food is passed into the gut quickly thereby preventing it stagnating in the stomach which gives rise to increase in the acid level which caused your original problem GERD.

Please read my advice above immediately below your first post.

You are advised to use the Nat Phos whenever you feel full or uncomfortable after a meal, especially at night. For the moment you can use 2 tablets after your meals and when you feel you can do without it you can use it in the manner that I have advised.

You can take the Arnica 30c in the wet dose just 1 teaspoonful for as long as you like. You may like to know that I have used it nightly for the last 11 years nightly and can confirm that it has done me a lot of good at my age of 77 years.

Dr Joe:
I continued on natphos and arnica for a few weeks. The pain was less, but came back intermittently. I ultimately went to a GI specialist and ended up in doing endoscopy. There was no other problem, but 2 big ulcers in deuodenum. The biopsy showed infection with H-pylori. The stomach walls were also inflamated.

As H-pylori causes cancer, I decided to play it safe and currently undergoing antibiotic treatment with amoxicylin and biaxin + prevacid.

The dual remedy you advised definitely works, but in my situation, where the reason was acidity and inflamation created, by bactiria, no wonder this did not work.

I will contact you once my antibiotics treatment gets over as I need to seek future course of action.
Thanks

You did right in doing an endoscopy.

While you are on the drugs you can still take the Nat Phos instead of the Prevacid as you may discover it more effective.

Follow your doctor's advice. He knows better.

Come back after your course of antibiotics is over.

Hi:
The treatment with antibiotics was over in late December 06 and I continued on the Prevacid for one more month. After that I stopped. The acid reflux was pretty bad after that(withdrawl symptom of prevacid). I went to a very good Homeopathic Doctor in Fairfax Virginia (Dr. Sandra Chase), and she prescribed Sulphur 200 (three times in one day). From the third day, my acidity problem was almost gone, and for last 45 days I am almost fine. I look what I eat, but I am way better.

Thanks for your help. And to all ulcer and GERD sufferers, I strongly recommend to give homeopathy a try. There is a chance that Nat phos may not work for you, but other remedy will.
