Seeking advice for Pilonidal Sinus

I am a 35 years male with good health. For the last six months or so i have been getting lumps in the tailbone area. I neglected it first thinking it as some kind of inflammation due to excessive heat etc. Seeing them recurring, I consulted an allopathic doctor who said it is pilonidal sinus and need to be operated.

The affected area is clean, the lumps are developing and bursting themselves with some drainage of blood as well as pus in a fortnightly cycle, i suppose. The pain is not much.

I may kindly be advised if this condition can be treated in homoeopathy, without opting for an operation.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What you have is Pilonidal Cyst, not the Sinus.

Yes it is also called Pilonidal Sinus...see the thread that Kuldeep has referred you to. You will get explainations of the problem there as well as ...way to cure without surgical operation.

Also ...don't take the matter lightly as there are passages formed in that area which are bringing the pus to the point of external discomfort...so the entire thing has to be cured.

Surgical operation will only do the work on the part that is externally visible. There are always chances of a recurrence...which allopathic doctors will confirm to you.

Through homeopathy ...there is a cure that will clear up the entire area and eradicate further possibility of recurrence.

Others have benefitted from advice given here.

Thanks both Dr. Pankaj ji and Dr. Kuldeep ji for your prompt reply. In fact, I was reading the other thread on Pilonidal Cyst/Sinus which went into 7 pages, (probably that was what was being referred Dr. Kuldeep which dealt with both Pilonidal and some other blisters in the mouth.

According to that thread, the patient should start with Myristic 200 and after 48 hours start Silicea 200 for one week. The bursted wound should be applied Callendula ointment. Did I get it right??

I just visited the referred thread once more and took a print out. The course of action given there is as follows:

(i) A dose of Myristica 200 (8-9 pills)
(ii) After 48 hours of bursting of the wound, Slicea 6 or Silicea 30 three times a day for draining out
for one week
(dosage how many pills???)
(iii) Silicea 200 two times - for how many days, please suggest

(iii) Silicea 200 two times

Thanks again

I am pasting Pankaj's post (with little modification)

A dose of Myristica 200 will burst the wound open....use thsi first.

After 48 hours use Silicea 3X ...three times a day......will help to drain out...may take a week or so.

Then take Silicea 200...one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening ...thats all . no more.

Then wathc the whole thing drying up.

kuldeep last decade
Yes ..externally...you can apply Calendula..rest as Kuldeep has explained.

Post feed back...in due course.

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
why Silicea 3x instead of C?

Parts of the post say to take Silicea 6 or Silicea 30 three times a day after 48 hours after wound opens

3X is easy to obtain and considered as lowest available potency.

Anyway, I recommend all people to take Silicea 3x periodically.

I am reading your posts.

Reiki, pills or liquid...both are ok. Make sure you are getting the med of a reputed company.

Better buy sealed bottle.

I have given one dose of myristica 200 to my son, it is now more than 2 days. The pus is not coming out and it apears to be dry. Shall I start with silica 6x to be given for a week or wait till pus starts coming out.
Is there any need to repeat myristica dose so that pus is removed from root. Please advise.

If it doesn't burst in 5 days...give a repeat dose of Myristica 200C ...then wait again.

Dear Dr. Pankaj ji and Dr. Kuldeep ji,

On 17.6.2006, as I was about to take another dose of Myristica 200, the sinus broke and started draining. I immediately started taking Silicea 3X three times a day. This is for your kind information. Will keep you informed of the progress.

Thanking you once again

Bhaskar,
Better you take Silicea 6C ..i.e. homeopathic potency...it will help to drain it out faster.

Keep applying Calendula mother tincture ...diluted...or cream all over the area after you clean up the pus.

Mind you the area around the cyst wil lbe quite tender...Calendula helps to repair the area.

Best,
Pankaj Varma

Dear Dr. Pankaji and Dr. Kuldeepji,

After a week of using Silicea 3X, i noticed the pus has gone and in the last one or two days, thick blood was coming out. I cleaned the area and from yesterday I started taking Silicea 200 two doses and Hepar Sulpha 200 two days alternatively for one week, as suggested by you.

Will keep you informed of the progress.

Thank you very much to both of you,
Bhaskar

Dear Dr. Pankaji and Kuldeepji

I have taken Hepar Sulpha and Silicea alternately for more than one week. Then I stopped it.

After a week of stopping the medicine completely, the area is now dry and flat. only small itching sensation is there, the lump has gone, nothing more.

i will keep you informed of the progress after one week.

Meanwhile thank you very much to both of you for giving advice to my problem. May the Almighty shower His Choicest Blessings on you both for all success and for your health and happiness

Dear All,

I also have pilodinal sinus (or cyst). I have had a burst 3-4 months ago, at that time I did not have myristica so I just took silicea and after a week it got better.

Since then the problem has come back so I have bought Myristica Sebifera 200c from this page. I have taken a pill of myristica and was waiting for the miracle :-) but instead of bursting out it has just disappeared. Once I stopped myristica (I took 3 during 3 weeks, then stopped because the problem seemed gone), the problem has come back again.

Now I can see my mistake: one dose of myristica is not one pill, but 8-9 of them. Is that true?

If so, how many pills make a dose of silicea (I have 30 and 200c)

Thank you for your answers!

Best Regards,
Jozsef
