Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed a year ago with hypothyroidism. I started out taking Levothyroxine but could not take it because of the side effects. I saw another doctor who put me on armour thyroid which is much safer but I could'nt take it either because I am sensitive to pork. My doctor then put me on a low dosage 20mcg of levothyroxine and 4.5 mcg of liothyronine. This makes me feel dis-connected (like I am in a dream) My eyes feel glazed. I am usually very sensitive to most things and I am having difficulty finding anything I can take for my thyroid. My last tsh level was 4.3 a week ago but my doctor wants it to be much lower. I have also been diagnosed with Hashimotos disease. I am using coconut oil, a multimineral, vitamin c and have a pretty healthy diet. However I still need something for my thyroid. I purchased some thyroid activator by nature's sunshine today. Do you think this will help bring my thyroid level down? If not what would you suggest?Thank you

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Try Calcarea carbonica 30 and Arsenum Album 30 one dose at alternate days.
Silicea 3X two pallets twice a a day.
Or you can make Silicea(Silica) at home:

Hi summer1
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism early this year.
I started off in a state of hyperthyroidism with a tsh level of 23! I fell quickly into hypothyroidism with a tsh level under 1. It was thought that I might be suffering Hashimoto's.
The case is that I was suffering inflammation of the thyroid (thyroiditis). As thyroid cells were destroyed, there was an influx of thyroid hormone in my bloodstream rendering me in a state of over-active thyroid (hyperthyroidism). Now, because of 'the attack', I'm left with an under-active thyroid.
I'm taking 0.05mg of Synthroid. Since the meds, my last tsh reading was 1.6.
Apparently, a healthy thyroid is between 1 and 5.
How do I feel?
I do feel better. When it all started months ago I was extremely fatigued, restless, depressed, and I felt like I was under water. I woke up everyday with bloodshot eyes regardless of the time I went to bed. That was while I was over-active.
While I was under-active I felt like a depressed sloth under water. Everything I did took, what felt like, lots of energy. So, I was still fatigued and I also just felt dumb-witted. I went from thinking that I was fairly intelligent to confused and unfocused.
I wouldn't say that I feel wonderful but I do feel better. It kinda goes in swings much like normal hormones, I guess. I would still like to feel a little more energetic but at least I'm not depressed.
My question to you is why doesn't your doctor lower your dosage if your levels are too high?
Unfortunately, it might take awhile to find the happy medium.
I think the most important thing, though, is how you feel. Most doctors just worry about the numbers and not your symptoms. Good luck.
