receding gums in child from nat sulph

My son is being treated by a homeopath for the past three months for asthma. She told him to take Nat Sulph 6C wet doses with 2 succussions before each dose.

He has been on the nat sulph now three months and just this morning we noticed his gum on the bottom front tooth is totally receded to the point that I don't know how the tooth is still attached. The tooth wasn't like that 4 months ago because he had his teeth cleaned by the dentist.

He also experienced headaches, sore throat, lack of focus and aches in the body recently.

Will this gum problem reverse itself now that we stopped the nat sulph? I'm almost sure it was caused from the remedy.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
firstly STOP nat-sulph--next 3 pellets nux-vomica 200c in 10 tablespoons of water/stir vigourously and give 1 teaspoon dose to child in evening before bed--at least 1 hour after last eating...NO repeat dose at all...

child is to AVOID all milk products;all acidic foods and drinks (carbonated soft drinks;coffee;tea;vinegra /pickles and such;fruits and fruit juices;..etc);;also NO SWEETS for now...

post back with response or lack of....and will access the symptoms that exist at that time...

Thanks for your reply, John.

Does anyone know if this is permanent or will it reverse on its own?

I have recommended Nat Sulph 6c to be used for Asthma in over 50 cases here in Sri Lanka and am interested to note that this same remedy is being used by other homeopaths in other countries.

I have never had any reaction like what you have experienced of the remedy affecting the gums and feel that this is due to some other reason.

I note that you have stated 'wet dose' and presume that you have given a teaspoonful of the remedy after succussion once daily.

The dose that I recommend is a variation on this where a teaspoonful of the remedy in the bottle is mixed into a half cup of water and a teaspoonful is sipped from this half cup.

I presume that your son has been using steroids and inhalers for his Asthma but these will all have very negative after effects in his life later.

You are advised to not discontinue the Nat Sulph 6c to be given to your son in the Split Dose but not directly from the bottle.

Dear Joe:

If you look at the materia medica under nat sulph under the gum section, you will see exactly the condition I am describing "separating the teeth from the gums" "long tooth". In fact, it is right here on abc in the remedy guide. It's called a proving, Joe. Do you know what that is?

Yes, my son did take the remedy at an 1/8th of a tspn from the first cup at 6C.

The homeopath I treat with agrees this is a result of the remedy.

The cases you treated in Sri Lanka, did you follow those cases for months or did you give them your instructions and the bottle?

By my own experience I have aggravated at 6C from the 6th cup with one drop. You've been very fortunate to never have experienced this. I'm sure people have aggravated with your instructions, you just don't know about it.

my mistake here--nux-v not best choice ---puls is priciple antidote --but this depends on the headache symptoms /characteristics---also depends on what child was being treatd for infirst place...other choice is sulph and merc---if used nux already --then what symptoms are left besides the eceded gums--body wll adjust/correct as well as possible---if have it under control then no mind suggestions given..

John,

Thanks for input. He was being treated for sycotic miasmic asthma and allergies.

I think Puls is his remedy to begin with, but I tried it on my own and it didn't work too good. I tried at different doses too. He might need a nosode.

The gum is what I'm worried about. It's totally receded. Do you think that will go back? Also, was it irresponsible for the homeopath to leave him on a remedy for 3 months without seeing any benefit from it? Thanks.

dont know homoeopath--but as is usual --lack of experience is reason...needless repetition of dose not correct manor of homooepathic treatment---repepitition when monitored closely and cratin remedy is most homoeopathic to case is allowed and used as such---but tell someone jus take come back in month--ridiculous...well if these secondary teeth will take bit heal back--depends on undrying state of health as o his....if still primary teeth then --when secondary come in will be in right..yet still this depend on child's underlying dis-ease being cured---one thing is that shows as result of nat-s--that child has susceptability and showed by symptoms comng up after nat-s use...this is a guide and should be treated as ....take all existing symptoms as they are occurring now --CURRENTLY...and prescribe on this ....no get concerned with miasm ''bull' and that crap=use symptoms as they exist--then and only then when most homoeopathic to case dose not give good response then consider nosode use....safest and clearest way...otherwise '''materia peccans'''

Thanks, John.

I'm learning as I go but am very interested. I feel there is no other choice if my family is to gain their health back. I bought a lot of books and am starting to go to seminars, but it takes a long time to get savvy. I read somewhere (I think!) that you are self taught??? Any tips?

tip? keep mind OPEN...and read/study/think upon hahnemann's writings and teachings... everything can get by him----anything that deviates from the source be watchful and not trust--often leads us astray into bull-crap..
