Teeting Baby, Loss of Appetite

Hi I need help matching the best remedy for my 16 month old. He is cutting all 4 of his 1-year-old molars at the same time. He is not screaming or crying, he is sleeping well. However, he is refusing to eat and losing some weight. Even his desire to drink has waned I believe due to him having to "suck" on this sippy cup, he is drinking small amounts throughout the day. He sometimes grinds his teeth while awake. His stools have been smelling sour with varying degrees of mucus. Hot is worse than cold for food and drinks. He has opened his jaw wide to extend it cause of the pain a few times. He wants to be held which is a normal type of behavior for him when he starts feeling sleepy and he has been sleepy more often. Thank you.

Have you taken him to see a doctor?

Yes, saw a doctor on Friday, they let me know that hunger strikes and loss of appetite can be normal for teething. Haven't seen a homeopath though. I would like to try to find a homeopathic or natural herbal remedy for the teething pain.

Please give him Podophyllum 30c one dose, ( 2 pills or drops dissolved in half a glass of water, mixed well and give 1 teaspoon from there ) for 3 days and report back in a week.

Thank you! I have had a few new symptoms develop in addition to the ones listed above. He has now developed a fever which I believe is also related to the teething. It is worse during or right after sleeping. He prefers the chilly fresh air over indoors and does not act chilled in just his diaper unless after a bath. It seems to be evenly dispersed on both sides of the body, his head is the central focus of the heat however. His color remains the same. He did not have a stool today, I think due to the low amount of eating, but did have some wind. He is not really sweaty at all which is a bit unusual for him as he can be a sweaty sleeper. After the bath when he was chilly his hands felt cold but grew warm again as the fever started to go up again. With the addition of the fever more snuggly, still not crying out and still sleeping well. Would this still be a try at podophyllum?

Please give him Aconite 30c, up to three doses if the fever has started within 24 hours.
