If no Nat phos, can just combine Nat Mur AND Phosphorus?

Hi,
It's like my husband's symptoms of belching is nat phos... however I don't have it...but i have nat mur and phosphorus...can I just combine the two (take both remedies at the same time) to make nat phos??
Thanks a lot!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
No combining both is not the same as the compound that's been proved. In homeopathy the symptom profile is prepared from giving the substance to healthy persons and the proving symptoms are recorded. So each of these three nat mur, phos, and nat phos are all uniquely proved medicines.

However for studying purpose closely associated medicines can be grouped together for comparative and constrasting study like one can comparatively study nat.mur, nat.nit., nat phos and similarly Kali grouped medicines.

Oh thank you for the reply maheeru! So it's safe to use nat phos 6x or 6c even if we have used nat mur 30 C and Phosphorus 30c?

Also, I am confused with 30C and Q/LM....if one has used say Lycopodium 30c, and you want to shift to LM, what is the potency of Lm to use so as not to aggravate?

Thanks!

6x is tissue salt. It can be used even with a superficial symptom match. But when you move to potency medicines either most of the symptoms should match or atleast some of the unique characteristics should match.

LMs are penetrating medicines. A good match needs to be there. It'd be safe to start with LM1 itself to be on safe side. But roughly after 30c, LM3 will be a good starting point; after 200c LM5; after 1M LM7; after 10M and still higher potencies: LM9.

It's observed that some people respond well to odd series like LM1...LM3 and so on while others to even series like LM2...LM4 and so on and some people either do not respond or aggravate or respond evenly to both odd and even series. So at the start one can use four consecutive series to find out whether odd is preferable or even is preferable or there is no need to pick such preference.

Many thanks again for the very informative reply maheeru... there's just too many things to learn that you can't read in the books.
I gave my husband nat phos 6x before bed...but i noticed he's snoring again..

I'm puzzled with his belchings because he's belching also when hungry..so I am looking at the hunger agg in generals. One such remedy there is phosphorus which we have already tried before, as he is sneezing a lot from strong scents plus the mentals. When I ask him if he's not belching, he would belch immediately. As if he's so afraid of his condition but not open in discussing with me his symptoms. That's why I thought of the nat phos. And he's also worse acids - tomatoes, fruits...

One more thing, i noticed that the foods that he react to somehow depends on the remedy he's taking. Ex with calc carb, he really can't drink milk and agg bread..with phos, the fruits and acids.. while when he took ars alb before he can take acids...
So the question: aren't you going to eat the foods that are listed as cravings/worse with of the remedies while you are taking that remedy?

Reacting to foods based on medicine can happen to some people but not every one. So it's adviced generally to take homeopathic medicines at the time they do not aggravate. Let's say a remedy LYC has a modality aggravation in the evening then it may be taken at a different time rather than to take at it's worst time. Similar manner food items that can aggravate or react with a particular medicine ----they can be avoided while the medicine is being taken. Again this is a matter of susceptibility. This won't happen to everyone taking the medicine.

Medicines do change constitutions at times either positively or negatively. So a food item that was perfectly tolerable can become intolerable after taking a particular medicine. Again this is based on susceptibility and won't happen to everyone taking the same medicine.
