i had dysentry 2002 was given an antibiotic, it cleared initiall symptoms but not all

dark moods constitute, feeling worthless, like i lost my sense of self, and cant remember my old identity, no confidence, alwasy sad and upset, disconnected from my self, serious disconnection between body and mind, like i cant link my mind with my body. i feel fat and constantly eat although i dont want to so no matter how much i resolve not to eat , i always do, so no self control, disinterest in life , friends and alll my old hobbies, no creative vision anymore, no passion where i used to have loads, dark moods are all the time but get really bad sometimes to the point i just want to die. i really feel i cant be arsed with life.

i have chronic back pain which effects me too in my right shoulder back arm which extends into my head and jaw (right side only)

Hello

Very sad that you are struggling so much.

You might be the type who cannot digest starches and carbohydrates.

I discovered this about myself by accident while going to college. I was studying for a test/final and didn't want to stop and fix myself my usual meal so I just ate some store bought salty popcorn. This was on Monday. On Tuesday, when I got up to go to school my shoes didn't fit me.

Another time I ate a tamal and the next day for some strange reason decided to weigh myself and noticed that it took 3 days to digest just one tamal. From then on I noticed that I cannot digest grains and that includes brown rice, quinoa, etc. I do best with wild rice which I eat on rare occassion.

I also have a history of severe Candida and learned that eating starches and carbohydrates contributed to the disease.

I have learned to avoid starches and carbs and that the only beans I can digest are black, kidney and carbanzos.

In another circumstance after experiencing an emotional shock, I could not eat anything whatsoever. The only thing I could manage to eat was tacos. After two weeks, I gained 10 lbs which I never lost until I became too sick to eat.

Over and over, I have learned that my body just cannot digest starches or that they have a negative affect on me.

Before my treatment of Candida, I craved sweets and salt and was STARVING all the time and if I so much as was in a room with starches, sugar or carbs, I would get so sick and feel worse. (this is not an exaggeration, but literal experience.)

Since recovering from Candida, I never had another craving for sweets nor salt.

Before recovering from Candida, I used to crave chocolate when I was upset and always experienced depression as part of pms or other small reason. So I think that sugar affects the brain and can contribute to depression.

You might look into Candida while you are looking for a homeopathic remedy to help you. Do a search engine for Candida or Candidiasis or Candida Albicans. Anything you read about it that you can get out of it, could be of help to you.

Homeopathy has given me some ability to digest starches and carbs but only or rare occassion.

Let me know if you have any more questions or if there is anything else I can help you with. Or reading material.

I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling so much...but happy to hear you trying to go natural instead of jumping for the pill fix. As far as your sugar cravings...its a learned reaction..be it emotional or whatnot, you basically need to retrain your mind to find comfort in something other than that sugary food...hard to do i know..i was a sugar addict too...I had to just stop cold turkey. i told myself i would try it for two weeks to "see" if it helped. That way i was giving myself an "out" if it got to be too hard...a sort of way to trick yourself. but what i found out was that once i got through the first few days it was easier to say no to the sugar. The increases and decreases in your blood sugar may be contributing to your moods as well...when you eat sugar you are getting a fast and hard reaction from your insulin..it has to "eat up" all that sugar in your blood stream...then you crash because all of a sudden because the insulin is doing its job, there is no more sugar, but still a ton of insulin pulsing through your blood stream...so your body craves more sugar to get the insulin to dissipate..which just leads to more insulin production...so maybe moderating your insulin by not eating sugar might help your moods. Sugar does absolutely nothing for your body...but i know it helps your mind...when you feel like heading for the kitchen, grab a book, step outside, turn on the tv...something to just get your mind off of it...or just tell yourself you can have what you want a little later...before you know it, it will be time for bed and you have avoided the cravings...i wish you luck my friend.

I agree completely that eating raw vegestables will eliminate your concerns. In my case, however, I was on a mostly raw vegestable diet for several years, but I was still EXTREMELY sick. I was still always STARVING and always DEPRIVED myself of food. Just merely being around food, I would become confused and disoriented and my blood sugar level would drop. I had to always carry food with me where ever I went because I didn't want to pay the severe consequences of eating the slightest amount of salt, sugar, grains, or fried food.

Before going out to a restaurant, I would fill myself with raw veggies and other foods that did not make me sick; but upon the food reaching my table, my face would drop the way it does when my blood sugar level would.

I had no way of controlling my cravings, EXTREME appettite, nor my blood sugar levels even on my mostly raw vegestable diet until I recovered from Candida.

I always felt like the mouse who would get an electrical shock each time it went to eat. (I remember watching this sort of experiment on t.v. growing up). I would pay SEVERE consequences eating if I ate anything that I was allergic/addicted to.

It is like the alcoholic who cannot be around alcohol or take even one drink.

Candia treatment cured my food allergies/addictions.

You do not need to stop eating cold turkey. Eating 2 cookies instead of 3 will really make a big difference. Your weight will go down, however, gradual and your appetite will decrease as well.

PLEASE keep working with homeopathy and look for a support group in your area as well. You need all the help you can get.

I wish you well and stay in contact with all the great people here.

I agree w/ Pat...sometimes it is just more than eating the "wrong" things...and by cutting out sugar I don't mean eating only raw veggies(i know you were not responding to my post) but I do think the things containing white sugar are absolutely NOT healthy for you. Try replacing white flour w/ wheat...it's not so bad...and replace your sugar w/ a sub like splenda. I don't agree with the slow decreasing of the amount of sugar you eat...only by my own experience though. It was hard to break the habit of eating a ton when i was only allowing myself two...it always avalanched into the whole box or package. And i kept telling myself I will "try again tomorrow" only tomorrow never came. For sweet fixes i find fruit helps...its naturally sweet. Or even go so far as to get the sugar free candy...but if you eat too much you get diarreah pretty bad...so you get the electrical shock treatment there..you eat too much you pay the price...I found that ridding my pantry of all the food i knew was bad for me and replacing it w/ things i should eat helped...if its not there you won't eat it. I do snack on whole wheat crackers from Kashi..they are really very good...and cheese and meat..and of course fruit...replace white bread w/ wheat..whole wheat if you can stand it. As far as the restaurant goes..just tell the waiter to not bring the bread basket and try to order baked or grilled instead of breaded and fried...and get a salad or veggies instead of pasta or fries...its all a choice honey and I know it is a HARD one...but I believe in you...I KNOW you can do it. Much luck and encouragement!!

To Pat2006

It is possible that Nat Phos 6x (biochemic) can help your problem. Nat Phos is Sodium Phosphate and it helps by accelerating the digestive process and thereby prevents the formation of acid in the stomach which usually results after a heavy meal when the food delays in going down.

Dosage is 2 tablets taken after lunch and dinner and you should feel almost immediate relief after your first dose.

To Peskyt

Nat Phos 6x should also help you and it should also bring down your weight by over a pound per week, provided that you do not use coffee and cola drinks and food containing saltpeter as they antidote the weight reduction aspect of Nat Phos.

Dose 2 tablets after both lunch and dinner.

Report response in a week.

Hey, Pat -

How did you discover you had a Candida problem, what did you treat it with, and for how long?

Thanks -

Tracy

Hello everyone

PLEASE read VERY carefully what I write because most of it is PAST history.

My only problem with food at this time is not being able to digest a cup of brown rice or one tamal,or a 1/2 cup of corn, (carbs and starches) which sit there for 3 days and which primarily causes my weight to increase either by it being stored or water retention or bloating--don't know which.

Can't hardly wait to try the Nat Phos 6x.

I will write more later with questions and answers about blood sugar levels and candida, etc.

Pat2006 last decade
With regards to blood sugar level testing, the times that I had mine tested have always come back normal including when I had full blown Candida. The only time my blood sugar lab test came back a bit low was after not eating for at least 7 days.

Not sure whether or not having normal blood sugar levels indicate whether or not someone has Candida.

Tracy,
Will write back about how I found out about it and how I treated Candida. Just not sure how to write all of that in a way that portrays an accurate picture of how difficult it is to over come this most terrible nightmare of a disease.

Pat2006 last decade
My definition of full blown Candida is BEFORE I became a primarily raw vegestable eater and before I knew that I had severe food addictions/allergies/Candida.

Despite the fact that I was SUFFERING HORRIBLY from this most horrible disease, my blood sugar levels were found to be normal.

Pat2006 last decade
I was aware that Candida was connected to yeast and that it seemed to affect some to a degree that the medical profession could not cure.

I never realized that it makes one to "SUFFER HORRIBLY" as stated by you.

There is an excellent article about this infection on:
http://www.candida-society.org.uk/

I believe that this infection can be caused by slow peristalysis in the gut which makes the food to empty very slowly into the colon. This can result in the lack of appetite like what you have experienced as the gut is still full of the slowly digesting food that is stagnating in the gut and you are not ready for the next meal. This will also explain your not eating for 7 days !

I am confident that Nat Phos 6x should help to settle your problem as it seems to accelerate the passage of food by altering the chemical structure in the stomach and intestines. I have given some data on this subject in my post "Nat Phos the Ultimate cure for Obesity" on this forum which I copied from a text book.

In your case you can increase the standard dosage of 2 tablets to 3 tablets for the first few days to enable the remedy to help you fast.

I would request you to please report your response a few hours after you take your first dose, as it is possible that this simple Biochemic remedy Nat Phos 6x which contains just 1/1 millionth of the salt Sodium Phosphate (NA2SO4) can help to cure the condition that you have suffered from for perhaps many years.

If as I hope it does cure you, I believe that you have been instrumental in enabling me to add another FIRST to my list of Discoveries which have not been reported ever before in medicine, Homeopathic or 'Allopathic'.
