Perioral Dermatitis (rash around mouth) in 8 year old female

My daughter is currently having a Perioral Dermatitis outbreak. It has been about a month with no signs of receding. No itching. Only hurts if she scratches it roughly.

She has had this once before when she was six years old. It came on about the same time of year and lasted for months. I used coconut oil with colloidal silver topically daily and removed all SLS and fluoride products.

I don’t know where to start since all the products that I thought were affecting her have been removed for the last two years.

Thank you for your quick response healer21!

PRIMARY PROBLEM: Rash near mouth that has been present for approximately one month. Does not itch. Only hurts when scratched.

Name: Evie
Age: 8
Profession: None
Not married
No children

Daily routine: Wakes up at 6:30am, eats breakfast (usually a homemade muffin of some sort), gets dressed, brushes teeth, gets on bus and goes to school. School has 2 recesses and a lunch. Comes home on bus. Eats snack (usually an apple with peanut butter). Plays or reads until dinnertime. Eats dinner...majority of the time it is home cooked from scratch. Then she reads or plays until bath time. She take a bath/shower and then bedtime is between 8:00 and 8:30pm.

She started getting the rash two years ago when she was six years old. The rash has not been present for two years. It has been about one month that the rash has been present now.

Worse for grease, such as from food she's eating, and scratching hard. Also worse when SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) gets on face. Better for being left alone and long use of coconut oil.

No swelling of hands and feet. No foul smelling gasses.

No light sensitivity.

No sweaty hands or feet.

No pronounced weakness in the body.

Food likes: loves candy, chocolate, iced sweet tea, water, juice
Food dislikes: mashed potatoes,

Likes water and drinks it through the day. Only feels overly thirsty when she plays and runs a lot.

Feels cold easily.

She tried to wear long sleeve shirts all summer and enjoys being wrapped up in a blanket in the summer as well. Says she HATES hot weather but does get hot when it is hot out.

Prefers sweets more.

She is very thin and lean. Naturally pale but seems more pale since the last two growth spurts. Persistently has slight dark circles under her eyes since these growth spurts. Has not gained weight but has gained height. Tired when she gets up in the morning.

She is on no medication. No diabetics or high blood pressure. No known chronic diseases.

The parallels between the two rashes seem to be the time of year. About October/November of 2015 is when her original rash surfaced. We just recently began running our heater due to the cold.

Thank you again.

Hi,

Symptoms not clear .. but I give you something to start the case and to start solving mestries behind the case ..

Hmm ... Try silicea 30c .. (liquid form) 4 drops a time .. three times a day .. for 2 days only. No more. In a disposable glass with some clean water ..

Do not eat or drink anything before or after 30 minutes of taking medicine. Do not use coffee or mint .. Do not place medicines near strong perfumes .. etc ..

Report me after 2 days.

Thank you healer21. I will start her on it when she gets home.

The only other thing I can think of that could play a part: She was vaccinated up to age 4. I believe a reaction occurred from this set of shots since she regressed socially and verbally. She hit all milestones ahead of the expected pediatrician's schedule but then speech slowed. OCD tendencies became greater and she became very sensitive to things going on around her (sensory issues). She had many many ear infections as well. I did not realize until recently that they could be connected. It wasn't a swift change or huge reaction but definitely noticeable.

Two day update:

Redness has decreased. Dryness has decreased. It appears that the size of the bumps has decreased as well. Progress!

She says that there is still no itching or hurting. Any other questions I should ask her?

I’ll be emailing you as well.
