Seeking homeopathic remedy for large polyp discovered

My 67 year old husband, who was diagnosed with COPD about 4 years ago, starting having stomach/abdominal pain (very painful at times) approximately 8 months ago. His doctor requested that an ultrasound of his abdomen be done & the results of this didn't really find anything. So the doctor then sent him to have an MRI done - the results of this showed my husband had developed a condition called Intussusception, wherein there was some type of obstruction in the intestine. Doctor urged my husband to go see a specialist ASAP as this condition needed to be further evaluated & corrected. My husband underwent his 1st colonoscopy ever about 5 weeks ago, followed with a 2nd colonscopy just 5 days later. The reason for the 2nd colonoscopy is that the surgeon advised he found several polyps during the 1st procedure & removed all but one of them - he stated this one was "huge" - so big that he was not allowed to continue moving through the colon to view it. So he did a 2nd colonoscopy & tried to remove this very large polyp, but was unsuccessful (only able to remove a small bit of it & decided to quit for fear that it may rupture, which could be fatal). He was however able to squeeze by this large polyp this time & view the entire colon. Several more polyps were found & removed during the 2nd procedure. We met with surgeon shortly thereafter to discuss results - we were advised that all of the polyps that had been removed were sent off for biopsy & 5 of them came back showing disease. Initially, the surgeon stated my husband needed to undergo surgery for the very large polyp to be removed, but after consulting with some of his colleagues, the surgeon advised that he thought the very best course of action was to remove my husband's entire colon. He explained that if they only removed a portion of the colon (where the huge polyp was located), they may have to go back in & remove more of the colon in the future if the disease spreads. At this point, my husband & I are both skeptical as to removing his entire colon & quite understandably, fearful of what the future will bring in regards to this situation. Not 100% sure right at this moment, but I believe my husband is going to request that the surgeon only remove the very large polyp at this point since this is what is assumed as causing the intussusception (obstruction) in his intestine, therefore leaving his colon intact. We are requesting your guidance & suggestions with respect to any homeopathic supplements and/or remedies he can begin taking right now to combat/thwart the disease that has been discovered. My husband is not allergic to anything. He was diagnosed with COPD approximately 4 years ago, but has continued to smoke, albeit much less than before (currently smokes 4-5 cigarettes/day). He has been a regular alcohol drinker for several years, but for the past couple of months in particular, his alcohol consumption has gone way down, due in large part to the stomach/abdominal pain he's been experiencing for several months now. I eagerly anticipate your responses. Thank you very much!
