Bitter taste in mouth

Hello,everyone.

I came across an old forum about "bitter taste in mouth" and I felt kind of relief that it's not only me that suffers because of it...

My own problem started 2 years ago with a sense of burning at my tongue. As days passed, this burning gave its place to a persistent bitter taste in my mouth. Since then I experience the bitter taste in almost a daily basis.

Notices and facts that make sense are:

- The bitter taste come and go and I cannot make any connection with a possible cause(food, allergy, stress periods, stomach, digestion problems, etc)

- I was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis (long time before the problem of bitter taste started)for which I had taken medication(antihistamines, cortisone injection) and I had been cured.

-There are days I feel good (no symptoms at all),days that I have the bitter taste some hours per day and days that the symptom bothers me all the day during.

- During my pregnancy, I didn't have any symptom at all.Bitter taste came back 2 months after delivery.(I was breastfeeding since the first day of delivery)

- Every morning that I wake up, I don't have bitter taste in my mouth. Bitter taste starts with the start of the daily meals.

- Endoscopy (in nose, larynx, pharynx) indicated swollen nasal nipples and there was also an indication of Gerd.
(In the past I was diagnosed with Gerd once again, for which I was given 2 months zurcazol treatment with no reduce of bitter taste symptoms)

- Ultrasonic in upper abdomen was negative.

- At my first brain MRI(2009),I was diagnosed with cavernoma(at the right front lobe) which was a random medical finding and I 'm used to checking it out once per year.

-All the blood tests are negative.

- Most of the times, the back part of my nose is such stuffy that it leads to sore throat, pain in ears, pain in the nose.

- My doctor gave me to try Pulsatilla 200 for the first day and Pulsatilla 30 every morning for 1 month. It seemed it worked the two first days that I took it(no symptoms at all) but now (7th day),I 'm suffering from sore throat, pain in ears, much more than before.

Could sb help me and suggest me a possible solution to my problem?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
"- My doctor gave me to try Pulsatilla 200 for the first day and Pulsatilla 30 every morning for 1 month. It seemed it worked the two first days that I took it(no symptoms at all) but now (7th day),I 'm suffering from sore throat, pain in ears, much more than before. "---> This can lead to serious problems for you. These are not pills that you pop every morning for 1 month. You will start developing symptoms belonging to the drug (a proving), and probably already are. Please stop taking it immediately.

Thank you for your interest and for such a prompt response.

I would stop it for sure, cause I feel such a discomfort. I am also breastfeeding. And it is my pediatrician that suggested it to me,who is an homeopathetic doctor also; so I took it for granted that it would be fine..

Is it dangerous so much? As a dosage?
I had informed (through the previous relative forum)that someone had taken Pulsatilla 200 for 3 days for the same problem and it seemed it worked for him!

Actually,I have no idea what my next step would be! Could you please suggest me where I should address to,cause I am at a loss.

Unfortunately, many of the so-called 'homeopaths' have no clue about how to prescribe. The key is to take a remedy for a few doses, and then watch the response. In homeopathy, it is the secondary response of the vital force to the remedy which is curative, not the remedy's primary action. By repeating a remedy too much, you make the primary action too strong and at-times difficult for the vital force to dislodge.

Please wait and watch your symptoms for 7-8 days without any more doses, and see if things improve.

Right now, you are in an over-stimulated state, and it is important to let your body come back to some sort of equilibrium.

If I let time pass without taking any more doses and see that things get improved, what should I do next as a secondary action?

And in case that the my health situation is stable or even worse, how should I handle it?

Let's cross the bridge when it arrives. Symptoms will dictate but wait for 8 days first.

It has passed 8 days, since the last time that I took Pulsatilla 30. The bitter taste has ben reduced pretty much, but I 'm suffering from a sore throat that comes and go.

Sometimes I can't stand the pain(feeling like thorns when I swallow, dryness), while some others the problem seems that has gone, since the symptoms seem to have disappeared.

The second time that I made endoscopy(nose, pharynx, larynx), the otorynologist told me that my Gerd is much worse than the first time(Meanwhile,I haven't taken any medication for Gerd because I 'm breastfeeding). My nose nipples are swollen, my throat is red,and at the base of my tongue there is a white-thing layer. He took samples for examination(cultivation for microbs and fungus),but he did't take a little piece of the white-thing area for biopsy.

Now, I am concerned a lot(even though the doctor told me thatthere isn't something suspicious.

I also feel my tongue very sensitive. Sometimes it pains like its nerves have been pulled, some other times it is burning. Sometimes I feel a general discomfort in the whole of my mouth, sometimes I feel good.

Could it be an allergy? Could it be a microb(strep, fungus)? Could it be something worse?

Is there any homeopathetic pill that could help all this complex situation?

"My nose nipples are swollen" -- > What do you mean? You mean the breast nipples are swollen ?

Tell me more about yourself in general.

For every complaint, please tell me what makes it better or worse. Also mention, as to what is the exact location, and what is the sensation of every complaint.
