The ABC Homeopathy Forum

For murthy

Hi,
I want to ask your opinion on what I am telling my brother to take.

He lifted a heavy box at work.
His low back muscles went into spasm and he was off work and rested and was getting better. Work told him he had to have physical therapy and MRI. MRI showed L4 disc leaking.
He began physical therapy at start of nov. Seems the place is new with young inexperienced people who
Are trying to stretch and bend him and think by doing this the fluid will re absorb and we realize making it worse.

Lower back muscle spasms are gone. Now there is ongoing
Feeling like blunt instrument is boring into right butt
Radiating aching pain going down to calf and back up
Worse from standing and moving
Better laying flat on back
Better for half hour after a warm bath
And heat.

I advised him to take arnica 30 , 3x
A day in wet dose. Told him to try a couple doses of hypericum 200c.

He has slight relief from taking arnica
Over last few days and slight relief for
An hour after hypericum 2times.

I told him to switch to a different phys therapy place which he will do.

Do you think I should go up in arnica? And more hypericum dosing or higher potency?

Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am out of station and will be back in a couple of days.

Looks like sciatica due to herniated disc. Read about Colocynth and see if it fits.

Arnica may not do much at this stage. Hypericum is indicated generally for coccyx injuries.

I will study in more detail once I return. Keep updating.

Thank you. Colocynthis matches quite a bit, all we can get at the moment is 30c, so he is going to try a dose as soon as he can pick it up.
Will update on it.

Update

He took one dry dose yesterday at 6pm.
The pain is right side mid butt that feels like blunt instrument poking into butt and then going down to mid calf and up . He was limping when he took dose. Remedy was activating nerve throb sensation in right calf.
He has not had that sensation. It would come and go. Then he had almost immediate relief from all other pain and could walk normal. He said
60 percent relief.
At 6 am pain started to return, little by little till at the level of yesterday. He took another dry dose at 6pm. Feels mentally relaxed(very stressed from
Some time limit of another 30 days from work to get well or his job will change) and from not being able to help with children and house chores)
So relaxed mentally and around 60 percent pain relief half hour after dose.

I told him to make wet dose for tomorrow and take at 6 am if needed.
I am ordering colocynthis 200c tonight to have on hand. He should get by Wednesday.

Thank you!

O.k.

Physiotherapy is always helpful in these cases. Look for a better ,experienced one.

200c should work better than 30c.
