Advanced Kidney Failure
This is for an 89 years old male. He is in overall good health; still a clear thinker. He generally has a good outlook on life, although sometimes he states that life can be too long. He had chemo about 6 years ago for Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, still in remission. Since that time he increasingly feels weak. A major compliant is that he is unable is less able to pick up his feet to walk well, he trips and sometimes falls. His last comprehensive Metabolic Panel lists the following values that are out of range: Potassium 5.7 mmol/L; CO2 18 mmpl/L, UN 65 mg/dl; Creatinine 3.74 mg/dl; GFR, Caucasian 13; and GFR, Black 16. The CBC with differential indicates a RDW of 15.7%. He also has high blood pressure that started at the time of the chemo that is easily controlled by blood pressure medicine.SamIam1 on 2016-10-12
