How to know when to take different remedy

I have a question: When to take a different remedy when the one you have taken has solved one or more of your symptoms but not all, and a different remedy seems to fit your other symptoms? How long should one wait or how to know if the first remedy has "run out"? How to know if the first remedy might in the end also solve the other symptoms even if it is not explicitly meant for those symptoms?
Thank you very much

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is a difficult question to answer in just few words or sentences.

First of all it is the matter of knowledge gained by experience. One needs to keenly watch change in symptoms and interpret several aspects of action of remedy on that - whether the selected remedy is right, whther the progress is in proper direction, etc. To analyse one should also have a deep knowledge of physilogy and pathology else, interpretation becomes very difficult.

On a broader terms I can tell you that after taking a remedy if your existing symptoms get slightly worse and then disappear and also your old symptoms reappear and disappear that's often the right remedy for you and will take care of almost all your symptoms. You need to give it sufficient time to do it's job.

By the way, you should also know what can be relieved and what can not be. For example, I have come across many people who ask for treatment of a scar due to an injury or burns. The expect the skin to become normal as before which is impossible. Some people ask for correction of faulty alinement of fractured bone, that too, after healing is over, through remedial treatment which is redicullous.

Thank you very much for your reply! I took a remedy 5 weeks ago and it improved my mental state a LOT. It also caused lots of pimples (detox?) which I usually don't get so I think it is a very good remedy for me. Nevertheless some of my other (physical) symptoms are still the same, not worse nor better so I was wondering if this remedy will also take care of those, or if after some more time I will need to take a different remedy. But yes it seems to be difficult to know when that will be the case.

If it has worked well on your mental condition well it should be a suitable remedy for you. but in that case it is unlikely to leave some physical symptoms unimproved; probably your interpretations / obervations might be wrong. It also depends on what your symptoms are.

In a rare possibility, it may be partially similar to your case. In such an instance some oter remedy, often closely related to it may be your perfect remedy.

Nonetheless, I feel you may still wait for another 3-4 weeks. If no further improvement, you may repeat one more dose and hope for the better.

Thank you for your reply! I have taken the remedy 5 weeks ago and it immediately stopped my depression and gave me lots of motivation. I also feel i can eat and digest way more things, for example grains and legumes. I got a lot of pimples after taking for a week. This week i got more pimples. Does the remedy detox the body in waves maybe?
My other symptoms which are chronic are unimproved yet. Does one remedy cure everything? And when would i take another dose? Would i repeat the same potency or take a higher one? How about the possibility to take the remedy in water and shake before every time one takes a sip. I have read that might speed up the cure?

It looks like the remedy has worked well. I cannot comment further on your querries as I don't know any details of your health and exact nature of symptoms.

Ideally, homeopathic doses should be repeated only when it is clearly indicated. As you have maintained thorough confidentiality about your health profile and the remedy taken I can't advice anything in particular.

I have taken lac humanum c 200. Resolved depression and improved digestion i think. Remaining symptoms which i have for 20 years already are hirsutism, constantly red cheeks, still slight bloating at times. I could imagine these things take more time to heal? I simply never felt fully healthy and energetic in life. But the mind is now stable and positive and i am more social too.

Still, that's insufficient to make any specific comments. e.g. I don't even know your age & gender. (I guess female though).

Nonetheless, I suppose your mind problems were recent. If so, they are expected to be relieved.

But you can't expect 20 years old problems to go within 5 weeks. Moreover, the problems you have are too deep to be changed so early.

Okay so that would mean they could still resolve on that same remedy though? Thank you
