Dr. Kadwa. 10 month old refusing to eat completely for 8 days.

Hello Dr,

My son suddenly stopped eating completely for the last 8 days. Hes breast fed and drinks milk but other than milk and water hes refusing to take any solids. He was a healthy eater and had no problems with him.

He is teething and is lower tooth has cut through. He tosses and turns when he sleeps and seems hungry but would not want to eat.

He did also catch a cold and has phelgm in his chest and has shortness of breath now.

Please help. I havent had a sleep for the last 5 days because of his bad sleep. we did visit his ped doc and there was some viral infection in his throat.

what occurred 8 dyas ago?or just prior to 8 days ago?what was going on in life of mum and son at this time period?

include mums--state of health also--what meds she is using and reasons for use--due to breastfeeding -possible trigger may be with mum...

Hello Dr Kadwa,

I dont think there was anything different that happened 8 days ago in regards to my intake of food or his intake.

He did start teething. I am not using any meds except prenatals. I am of good health mentally and physically. I was not worried for the first 4 days and now its getting pretty stressing.

I am not mr kadwa..
I am john Stanton

if mum ois not using any mes--just vitamins and has ben using for sometime since birth of child..

then

single dose
calc-phos
2 pellets 30c in 4 oz water
in drinking glass
stir heavy
1 tablespoon dose

ONLY mum is to take dose --not child--due to breastfeeding..

no repeat dose

keep eye on any new (never had before in health history )

as this will guide to more homoeopathic med--showing that calc=phos is only partial to this case..

no response at all
-- one or all could be reason.
(1) med improperly chosen --not homoeopathic to case
(2) maintaining factor in patients life scene
(3)med false from pharmacy

post back as u will
more often better

Sorry Dr. Stanton,

I will have meds and let you know.

We just returned from drs here and saw hes got severe bronchitis and chances of pneumonia. They have given antibiotics and steroids to clear up. Do I give him that?

Forgot to mention, I have calc phos 3x only.

Getting 30 would take me atleast 3_4 days.

vidrathi 7 years ago
my mistake

wait -no meds yet
bronchitis need be addressed

what exact symptoms being exhibited for this current ill (bronchitis)?

when did symptoms start for this current cold?

what is med use for child /mum since birth? reasons used

Hi,

It started the last sunday. His brother went for a swim and caught a cold and then my 10 month old caught it as well.

I had immediately given Aconite for both of them and it didnt help curb the cold and running nose.

They were both given ars alb and ANTIM TART one dose each for running nose.

yesterday night, while sleeping my son the 10 month old got up crying and gave him gripe water and he calmed down. thats when i noticed his breathing was short i could hear rattling sound from his chest.

i gave him albuterol treatment - nubulizer.

I have used alfaalfa, calc phos 3x and ferr phos 3x since he was born which i had not taken for the last month or so. - I was given this for better milk production and my health.

too many meds and such

bronch symptoms may be due to meds used --arsenicum or ant.

here is clue for future --allow symptoms develop to point of surety in medicine to be used -single med---but use apsoric med--not deep acting psoric during acute ills ...use like aconite,,nux-v (which would be a better choice for start),puls,arn,...etc etc

patience is key and paramount for manging illness..

lets antidote any over action 1st--

how readily availbale are medicine s to u?

1st thing no other meds at all
as mentioned in my last post --start following those guidelines but no use calc-phos

single dose ipecacuanha
2 pellets 30c in 4 oz water
in drinking glass
stir heavy
1 tablespoon dose

ONLY mum is to take this..

no repeat dose

til I accessed response to that dose..

let me know if u don't have
ipecacuanha
holed off form allo doc meds --if at all possible.

He seems to be having fever now. :(

I do have quite a lot of meds in my repo and I have ipecac 30 with me.

I dont know if i can hold off allopathjy meds completely with the fever now.

can I start with the allopathy meds to give him some relief.

vidrathi 7 years ago
fever --is expected
read last post I sent ..

list exact symptomology babe is showing? facial expressions actions---especially note what is new since the cold symptoms started..even the seemingly unrelated symptoms..as well anything since babe has been ill --that has occurred with u..
list all u can--I will do the sortoing of info--so no worry if u make sense --I wil ask if need clarifying

John Stanton 7 years ago
ur choice--I am unable to help while allo or other meds being used----homoeopathy is complet healing form---doesn't operate in mix-opathy methods----

I tell u what --u hold off long as u will..i will seek work with small window of time

mum take ipecac as mentioned..mum take now
and breast feed as soon as possible after dose --even if a little ---if babe wont feed --then take tiniest 1/8 teaspoon dose of sam edrinking glass mix- and give babe --so both will have been dosed..

i had the ipecac and have given him his milk as well.

He is currently sleeping.

new symtoms,
1. He keeps hmmm img like hmm,hmm as he breaths,
2. slightly streches himself /arches himself when drinking milk
3. he tries to close his eyes tight shut like feeling tired
4. his walk seem to be wobbly, he used to be able to walk with confidence.
5. At night, he keeps turning and tossing so much and crying too and it looks likes his sleep cycles are messed up and sleeps only 20 mins- 30 mins at a time.
6. He seems to be hungry and takes few bites of fruits if given not rice or regular food and then after 3-4 bites he refuses to take any more.
7. He drinks water when offered.
8. he does touch top of his ear not like inside but little above the ear hole
9. He does try to push his pee.

I will try to hold of his meds as long as I can.

what is meant by 'push his pee"?

what is excat current breathing manner? explain best u can--use all the words u need --

John Stanton 7 years ago
push as in like forcing it out. He will hold on to his pee and when he wakes pushes it all out.

and his breathing is laboured and short.

It was rattly in his chest and now i can hear rattling at his nose. His breaths are short and sometimes he keeps hmm like we sound if the stomach hurts. and then other time he just keeps breathing with short breaths. i counted his brething and was breathing 17 times in 15 secs but he had also cried sometime back.

vidrathi 7 years ago
Its like running and lossing his breath

vidrathi 7 years ago
here is the thing
after ipecac dose--w eare looking for any new symptoms occurring after dose..

what is babes current alertness level?if unusual for this time ?

just relate as u see it..--anything -everything ----ur my eyes..

John Stanton 7 years ago
yes, he is alert as usual. he seems to play well with his brother, his fevers gone.

his drowsiness from fever is gone and laughs and plays well. He is still having running nose , occasional sneezes where there is egg white like phelgm.

He still does not want to eat anything
