Chronic mucous in throat
My mom is 89 years old with dementia. She has constant mucous in her throat and every day she coughs to clear it throughout the day. Sometimes her nose is also congested. I have tried so MANY non-prescription remedies, but nothing helps. Currently I'm giving her Silicea 30x (4 tablets 3 times a day) for toe nail fungus and also for her mucous and anxiety/compulsive thoughts.She has a history of anxiety, fear, high blood pressure (currently not a problem), hemorrhoids, restlessness, impatience, over-sensitive, wanting to control everything. I'm having some success with vitamin therapy for her anxiety/psychosis, but the mucous in her throat (sometimes nose) is constant and very frustrating--toe nail fungus also frustrating.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
