New to homeopathy - question please

Hello All-

I am new to homeopathy. I am only using homeopathy for myself and am not a person who wishes to be a professional practioner.

I have been reading about homeopathy, Do I understand correctly that usually only one remedy is used at a time? That is to say, for example, if a person suffers from nausea and also from backaches, it is not recommended that they take one remedy for backache and a different remedy for nausea?

Thanks very much for your help! :)

Hi there :)

Yes it is correct to only use one remedy at a time.

Each remedy has a 'symptom profile', consisting of a myriad of very specific physical and mental symptoms, and the goal is to chose a single remedy that matches your current symptoms and personal inclinations in total.

There is no remedy that only has one symptom "nausea" or "backaches" alone. So you have to get really specific and kind of introspective about who you are and how you feel and how you personally experience each symptom.

Here is a link for the Organon of Medicine. This is basically the rules for the program. :) Hope this helps!
