Severe pms help!!

Hi there,

Am totally new to this but have read a thread about someone with pmdd, am also wandering if someone could help.
I have seriously bad pms, to the point I feel like I am going crazy and hate life! Am like jekle and Hyde!
For 2 weeks every month I feel like a different person, about 2 days after I start my period I feel normal again, I think if I didn't have such bad period pains for 2 days which bring me down a little then I would prob feel back to normal the day I come on!
I have tried many natural supplements now and feeling like I am going round in circles as nothing seems to help.
Does anyone know of. Homeopathic remedy I could try to calm things down so I could cope a little better?
It really is ruining my life!
A having blood tests again nxt week to see if anything comes up, just hop I don't come on before then as I want them to test my bloods when I am at my very worse, if anything will show it will be then!
Thanks for reading

Hi-

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/188925

Put answers on this thread- make them detailed, no yes or no type answers.

This is a forum, not a clinic, everyone
has their own set of questions as this
is all volunteer as regarding helping
you-

Since you are new, you can click on
user names and see the profiles of
people and their previous posts to
get an idea of who you are talking to. Telescope is a good prescriber,
but realize that anyone can join this forum and give advice- they
may know very little.

Patient ID: Sex: female Age:34:

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?
Severe pms, have also been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have pcos.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

Severe pms, 2 weeks prior to menstruation, from ovulation I wake up feeling like I have changed.
a heavy weight from head to toe, feel raging inside and have heat building up inside, i also get thrush closer to memstruation, headaches, sore breasts, nausea, body aches.
Even my facial muscles feel tense, clenched jaw.
Day or 2 before period, really bad lower back ache, really heavy achey legs!

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

Feel bogged down, tearful, depressed, anxious, paranoid, feel worthless, feel angry, negative!

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?

I just feel like I am better off not being here at all, feel like I am totally worthless.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

I didn't have periods through most of my twenties so was unsure my emotions were connected to my hormones but I would say I have been up and down even then.
Past few years have been seriously bad and now I have regular periods I know it is 2 weeks prior sometimes 3.
A friend of mine hung herself a few years ago, when it seemed to have got worse.
I didn't sleep before 2am every night for 4 or 5months after that and drank quite alot of wine most nights to switch off (I don't drink like that now)

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Mornings and late evenings I guess but pretty much I feel quite bad all day.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

Stressful situations, busy places lack of sleep, too much sugar.
Exercise helps a little and yoga and ironically a coffee clears my thinking for a while on times(but not for long)

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

Defiantly menses, I'm not feeling totally balanced with my work life situation. Have relocated and am working somewhere I don't really want to but I need the job right now to pay the bills until I am straight.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

Hot sunny weather, dry weather.

10. Describe your general mental set up?

Angry, irritable, emotional, sensitive, moody, snappy(At the moment but not when I am having my "good" week)

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?

I do feel quite headachey and tense

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?

I don't mind if it is from someone close or to explain to someone why I am quiet(in work for instance) but I think I prefer if someone is just companionate and gives me space.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?

Yes

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?

Causeless weeping

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

When I am in pms state my bfriend drives me crazy and I feel like I don't want to be with him anymore.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

I tend to have nightmares when I have pms and wake up feeling like something g bad is going to happen.
I sometimes dream about current situations but a very negative side to it all.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

I crave either salty things or chocolate.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Excessive

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Normal to excessive

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

No

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

Sweat more - trunk

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

Sometimes loose sometimes fine but very regular. Never constipated.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?

Poor sleep, wake throughout the night and find hard to get back to sleep. Past 4 nights I have woken at 3:40am and not slept much after.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?

No sex drive

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?

Feel very different right now, feel I can't cope with life and things that others do. Other people seem to have more fun and happy times.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

I took amitryptaline for few months to help with sleep and fibro symtoms.
Helped initially and I was seriously struggling but seemed to wear off. Stopped as needed to either up the does(which I didn't want to do) didnt help with pms symptoms though.
Tried fluoxitine last year, helped for 5 days straight away(before period) but then caused severe insomnia.
I did actually try fluoxitine this morning and do feel like I was a lot calmer today.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?

Hormonal issue, pcos, endometriosis, severe pms, fibroids, diabetes

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance

- Are the periods early, regular or late in general?

Usually few days late but every month.

How long do they last?
5-6 days

- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods?

All physical and mental discomfort stated at beginning of questionare.
Day of period and the next day, severe period pains, stabbing sharp pain like feeling, feels like shooting electric shock pains aswell.

- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive?

Excessive for the first 2 days then slows down but constant.

- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery?

Is dark red and thick.
Towards the end browny red

- Do you notice any clots in the flow?

For the first day yes but after that no.

I hope that it all makes sense.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

I have tried many natural supplements and have also been to the doctor about this. Nothing I have tried seems to help.
Feeling a whits end! Constantly on the Internet researching and looking in forums which is how I came across this one.
Just really want my old self back. Feel like it has gotten control of me!
I do take magnesium, cod liver oil. Pro biotics, and vitamin E.
Not sure if that would make a difference to homeopathy or not.

Thank you :-)

take one dose Calcarea Carb 1 m when you are not menstruating. avoid all sour food and drink. they may interfere with medicine. stop all other medicines you are using.

telescope 8 years ago
Thank you so much telescope x
I'm in the u.k, have just looked online and doesn't seem to be anywhere that sells it.
Have found on amazon something called Calc carb 30c, nelsons brand.
Would that be the same thing? Will look in the chemist to see if its available there.
Also sorry, have just realised yo asked about the pain, how when did it start.
It started from my neck and shoulder about 3 years ago but all over and hands and feet etc about 18 months ago.
Don't know if that changes anything.
Thank you

I have found some 1m on eBay. They have very good reviews so I think will be ok.
Do I just take the one pilule then no more at all after that?

Curlylocks 8 years ago
Hi- The cheapest place to order remedies in the UK is a site called
homeoforce. Helios homeopathic Pharm or Ainsworths also sell remedies but
usually it costs more.

You can get Calcarea Carbonica 1M in liquid or in pills.

order the 7 gm pills or the 5 ml liquid.

Telescope- please advise her how to take the dose, amount of pills
or drops.

simone717 8 years ago

Hi telescope,
I am so sorry to keep asking you questions now but the remedy has arrived.
It's tiny little pills, is that what you mean by globules?
To just take 4 or 5? And just the one dose only?
Sorry, haven't taken them like this before and doesn't have any advice with the bottle.
Thank you

Curlylocks 8 years ago
I am sorry, have just re-read your last message. You did say one dose already.
Thank you
