1 yr old with food/chem intolerances...always sick

Hi all. My 1 year old has just recovered from pneuemonia, and now, 1.5 weeks later, is coming down again with a runny nose and a cough. The cough is dry which is how the last one started.
He is severly intolerant to many foods and chemicals, and basically has a diet of Neocate (specialised formula), rice, pear and potato.
Can anyone suggest a remedy to boost his immune system and help him stay healthy (for longer than 1.5 weeks!).
