Silica and foreign body parts

Can Silica be taken by someone who has had knee replacement surgery? In a chronic condition would the 30c or 200c wet dose be taken by this person?
She is almost bald so really is screaming for this remedy.
thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Silica will eject loose , floating items that are intruders.

A knee or hip replacement will not be affected.

Thanks Walkin.
What would be a favourable wait time for the Silica action? She has head and neck sweats and has lost a lot of hair, she also has foul axilla smell. Do you think the 30 would be best or 200?
much gratitude,

I am taking Silicea 6x right now and have a lot of tooth fillings since my teeth are prone to decay. Should I be concerned?

But kidney stone is not foreign material?

Hello Doctor,

What if the foreign material like glass splinters are in the digestive canal? How about safe elimination after. It may pierce again in some tight corner.

Appreciate if some one can throw more light on this topic.

It is common sense that in this crucial stage surgical treatment is must whithout any loss of time.

Thank You Doctor,

Seeking prompt attention is the best option. They will suggest options to monitor the damage due to foreign object, if any.

Also, Psyllim husk preparation like Isabgol will help as explained in this link.

Silica promotes expulsion of foreign bodies from tissues.

Glass splinters (or other edible items) in the digestive canal are not foreign bodies in the tissues.

Hi all!

I have been reading these posts for a long time but this is my first time posting, myself.

My husband and son both fit the sicila profile in multiple ways, (both are yielding but stubborn, have large heads etc.). My son has had constipation issues for years, (it seems that he has no urging or just doesn't want to go in general). My husband has keloids on the back of his neck which keep getting infected and the scarring embarrasses him. Thuja and/or graphites have taken the edge off but I winder if silica would be the 'trick' to really healing them up...?

My main reason for posting, though, is my son. He has been getting upper respiratory problems for over a year now, (3 run Ins with pneumonia who's cycle was; coughing/sneezing started one day, were a little worse the next and by the third day he had fluid in his lung, bottom of the left lung both times).

I have known for a while that silica fits him well, though phosphorus does at times also. He has started, over the last few months, weeping when we scold him, (and we're NOT screamers or hitters... we don't say hurtful things either). This behavior is newer and, coupled with the pneumonia and asthma, (he now has an inhaler), I feel I need to try silica with him.

My concern is this: when he was 2 he has heart surgery. He had coarctation of the aorta, (a crimp in his aorta that needed to be cut out and sewn back together).

He has a clean bill of the health, knock on wood, and the stitches are dissolved by now, I should think, (he's 9 now), but I have read one or two things that make me worry about some damage coming from the silica, especially when in relation to the heart.

Any thoughts? Has anyone used silica on someone with a past heart surgery?

For those looking for a better picture of my son's constitutional type. Here's a little more info.. He is:

* well behaved and very pleasant, can be bossy at times, or sulk if things go his way. He uses the term, 'they were being mean' frequently.

* very sensitive and caring, wants others to like him and wants to give them things to show that he cares, he is hurt of this is not reciprocated but he will repeat the pattern again, either way.

* very mechanical and artistic/dramatic. We call him 'the thespian' and have since he was big enough to talk and to act things out.

* will not defecate unless he is reminded. We are unsure if this is because of the horrible constipation that he had for a short stint when he was a baby/toddler, (from too much iron in his formula), or if it's because he doesn't want to stop playing or if it's because he just knows that he can hold it... for a long time. Then, when he finally goes it's downright scary.

* has started getting moles on his face, like his father.

* is medium height now and slender. Very pale, reddish hair.

* bites his nails or cuticles regularly. His thumbs and index fingers look horrible.

* likes to wear hats, (just like dad). Doesn't want short hair, ever... though we do keep it medium to short.

* gets bloodshot eyes regularly, usually on the inside corners, often right sided, (and rubs them).

* has phlegm in the chest, almost immediately, when he gets a cold. It doesn't usually bother his nose or sinuses, just chest and eyes.

* does not like to blow his nose... at all. He has been getting better, as we force him to do this and tell him that the mucus will have nowhere to go but his chest if he doesn't blow, but he still complains about it being gross.

* has always been a veggie and fruit lover, even in utero. Also likes fish and chowders or soup.

* often has cold hands and/or feet. His feet have been smelly and sweatier than usual, of late.

* fears the dark and ghosts, (and is sensitive to spiritual things).

* low stamina for physical things, on the whole. Enjoys quiet pursuits and has good patience for his age.

* loves to read and loves fantasy more than sports etc..

* gentle with his sister, even when she is horrible to her. He will get frustrated or may yell but very rarely gets physical.

* never had any other surgeries, besides the coarctation.

* wears glasses for nearsightedness, (as do my husband and I).

OK, that's a ton of info., sorry for the book, I'd just like folks to get a good picture of the situation as I am really nervous about using silica if there are ANY potential issues with his heart etc..

Thank you, in advance, for any light you can shed on potential silica dangers.

Dear,

Since he has had Allopathic heart surgery, why don't you stick to Allopathy? When he had his heart condition, you should have opted for Homeopathy to resolve the symptoms.

Mixing two fundamentally differing medical systems i.e. Allopathy and Homeopathy sometimes can end in disaster. Especially when it concerns a patient with a heart condition.

People often scoff at the fact that Homeopathic medicines may be useful in treating various heart diseases. This obviously is due to their lack of knowledge and a deep rooted prejudice against homeopathy. However, a homeopath cannot claim that he can treat all types of heart diseases. He must know the scope and limitations of his therapeutics.
Homeopathy is useful in cardiac neurosis- esp. post infarction and post by-pass surgery, hypertension, chronic ischemic heart disease, heart diseases that are secondary to other systemic diseases and of course rejected cases.
There is poor scope with homeopathy in congenital heart disease, acute angina and myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathies, organic valvular lesions, gross Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF) and atherosclerosis.
Homeopaths look for peculiarities in the patient’s presentation of the symptoms and the more peculiar they are the greater is the indication of that particular medicine:
LATRODECTUS MACTANS has a violent precordial pain extending to the axilla and down the arm and forearm to fingers, with numbness of extremity. The left arm feels paralysed. This drug has all the symptoms of angina.
LAUROCERASUS is useful when the patient puts the hand on the heart region which relieves the pain. The cardiac asthma is relieved by lying down.
LILIUM TIGRINUM has a cold feeling about the heart. There is angina pectoris with pain in the right arm.
LITHIUM CARB has pain in the heart which is worse before and during urination and better after urination.
MYRTUS COMMUNIS has stitching pains in the left breast, running through to shoulder blade. There is a burning sensation in the left chest.
NAJA TRIPUDIANS has pains extending to the nape of the neck, left shoulder and arm with anxiety and fear of death.
When the pathology is prominent and there are plenty of signs as well as symptoms pointing to an organic lesion, the homeopathic medicine will not be able to cure or reverse the disease process, but will help in preventing further progress and let the patient lead a more comfortable life. Certain homeopathic medicines will then be useful in treating hypertension, ischemic heart disease:
BARYTA MUR is indicated in arteriosclerosis when a high systolic pressure with a comparatively low diastolic tension is attended by cerebral and cardiac symptoms. There may also be aneurysms of the heart or the aorta. It is useful in pulmonary hypertension and for bronchial affections of old people with cardiac dilatation.
CRATAEGUS is a medicine that acts on the myocardium and is also useful for myocarditis. The heart is dilated and the first sound is weak. It is known to have a solvent power upon calcareous deposits in the arteries.
CONVALLARIA MAJALIS is of use when the ventricles are over distended and dilatation begins and when there is no compensatory hypertrophy and when venous stasis is marked. It is useful for dyspnea and dropsy with suppression of urine.
IBERIS is useful in cardiac debility after influenza. It controls vascular excitement in hypertrophy with thickening of the heart’s walls. There is a dilatation of the heart.
LYCOPUS VIRGINICUS is useful in exophthalmic and toxic goiter causing heart disease. There is also hemoptysis (spitting of blood) due to valvular heart disease. The pulse does not synchronize with the heart (atrial fibrillation). It is also indicated in cardiac asthma.
STROPHANTHUS HISPIDUS is also a drug for exophthalmic goiter. There is anemia with palpitation and breathlessness. It is indicated in mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation where edema and dropsy have supervened. The heart’s action is weak, rapid, and irregular due to muscular debility and insufficiency.
Disclaimer: A detailed history followed by constitutional treatment by a good and qualified homoeopath is necessary to treat the complaints that appear during any disease. It is not advisable to resort to self-medication for any disease. The above-mentioned drugs are just a few of the remedies and are mentioned solely to create awareness about the efficacy of homeopathic medicines.

I have treated many patients who have had heart surgery, including those with devices implanted. There is no negative interaction between the remedies and the implants. Homoeopathy stimulates the natural intelligence of the body, whose only purpose is to improve your health and keep you alive. I have never seen homoeopathic treatment put someone's life at risk if it is used properly.

Improper use of our medicines is another matter though. Anything with the power to heal can have a dual aspect to harm, if misused.

There is absolutely no reason in your son's case not to seek homoeopathic treatment for him. I am sure it would benefit him greatly.
