Please Help - My pet has Cornea inflamation

Hi

My 12 year old dachshund had conjunctivitis from 2014 Feb . She was treated by the vet with Clindapet antibiotics. Her eyes healed over a period of 8 months but the she developed Corneal Edema for which she was treated with visiocare and since then the healing has not been progressing.

Her right eye healed but the left continued to fester. My friend who is an eye specialist prescribed her FMLT a steroid eye drop that helped her but we tapered it down aftr a month..and started putting a non - steriod drop Acular- LS. This did not work and her cornea again had a red cloudy blue colour and now she has started squinting and not opening her left eye well.

We have started the FMLT again.

It would be kind of you to help and tell me what I can give her and any eye drop that would help.

Thanks

1-how much the eye improve before it started again?

2-since when his eye look red and inflamed again?

Hi The eye showed signs of healing as the redness disappeared and the cornea looked clear that it was earlier.

But suddenly the redness appears and the cornea looks more bluish and foggy. So I had to put the FMLT drops in her eye to help it not deteriorate further while continuing the homeopathy.

Thanks a lot.

stop mercurius solubilis 200c .
the symptoms return because of over dosing of mercurius solubilis .

give him aurum met 6c(or 12c) twice a day for 3 days and report back.

The eye seemed better but again started watering and looks cloudy and my dashy squints with the eye.

I was reading about glaucoma which she has developed and it says we must reduce the pressure in the eye....that will worsen the glaucoma and affect her vision.

I am so distressed.

is she still taking aurum met 6c ?

gaintrox 9 years ago
I can start it again. Thanks

do not start aurum met 6c again it was only given to cut the over dosing effects of mercurius solubilis .

Now,describe the symptoms of her maximum u can(also let me know is there any change in her in hunger, thirst, sleep, etc).
u describe about glaucoma in a previous post how long is she having glaucoma?

Hi,

My pet developed glaucoma symptoms after the severe conjunctivitis infection she contacted from the cats in the vicinity. Are you able to see my first post in which I have mentioned her condition and treatment.

Her conjunctivitis went on to severe corneal edema...and it was treated for a very long time. her left eye healed strangely but the right one never did.

My friend who is an eye specialist checked her eye and said that she had a lot of eye pressure and showed signs of Glaucoma. however the FMLT steroid drops that she prescribed she mentioned would cause it to worsen...ironically the drops were helping the swollen cornea.

This has developed in the last six months

Symptoms : Eyes water, dryness of eyes, eye pressure, redness of the eye, squinting.

She eats well, the same for the past 2 years, water intake is very less as she is lazy. I offer her extra water in the form of butter milk or soup with vegetables. Sleep is normal....Her age being 12.

She is very active and only sign of aging is her muzzle turning white. Physically she is fit.
