Increase Potency?
Hello everyone!I have been taking sulphur C30 and C6 with great results for my eczema in my ear. (First remedy ever that actually really worked!) I started taking it 3 times a day and now maybe 3 times a week. I have been doing this for almost one year and take it whenever my symptoms flare up.
I am curious if I should increase the potency and take it less often? I asked my doctor but she said that sulphur in higher potencies can have 'side effects' or maybe cause a healing crisis? Curious if anyone has advice. Should I just try a dose of Sulphur C200 and see what happens?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
So you must have had hundreds of doses of Sulphur by now.
I would be cautious about terming this cure, as one of the signposts of a genuine homoeopathic cure is the small number of doses necessary to achieve it.
Have all your other symptoms, mental, emotional, general, other parts of the body etc,, also cleared up?

Thanks so much for your response Evocationer! YES I have had so many doses of sulphur- it still really helps me though. But that is the reason I asked my doc if I should increase the potency and just take it less often. She said no.
The thing is, I really relate to the physical sulphur image but I don't have too much emotional/mental stuff going on and don't relate to the sulphur description on that level. I also don't feel like the sulphur C30/ 6 has ever effected my mental/ emotional body, neither in a 'good' or 'bad' way.
So I am just not sure what to do- the C30 an 6 doses have certainly helped and still help a TON with the itching in my ear! not so much with other physical symptoms though, although there are not a lot of other symptoms eitherÂ…

Then it sounds to me like Sulphur is only palliating, and likely to be suppressing, your eczema. Over time, the internal cause of the eczema will begin to manifest new symptoms in more serious areas.
Genuine homoeopathic cure does not require constant redosing to maintain the effect. Cure is stable, because the remedy *should* be retraining the vital force to handle the symptoms on its own - in fact to eliminate the need for the symptoms.
What you appear to be doing is driving the eczema back into the body - the consequences of this are unpredictable, but usually quite detrimental to your overall health.
Constant palliation and suppression may also make your eczema more difficult to cure.

If you cannot find one in person (one who is properly qualified) then I can try to take your case online. There are limitations to that, but it might be better than ending up with a pseudohomoeopath.

Thanks again, for your input on this one. I wanted to follow up- I saw another naturopath and he did recommend doing sulphur 200cÂ… So I trusted him...
It helped really well for a few days, my eczema/ itching was almost gone. It is coming back now slightly- how long should I wait with taking another dose when it comes to those higher potencies? I'm fine to wait, the itching is just coming back very minimally.
Do you still think that it's not the right remedy for me?
