The ABC Homeopathy Forum

3.5 yr old son, change of seasons, been sick for 3/4 weeks, runny clear nose

His nose is never dripping, he is always sucking it back. Has croaky, wet cough. One night it sounded croupy and I have him ant tart 30c, then next day spongia 30c. I also have been giving him colidil silver 1 tsp a day. He wants to wear shorts even tho it's getting cold. He say he likes being cold, prefers cold drinks, lots of energy, doesn't want to take nap and go to bed at night, he does tho. Kind of intense lately, but I know he's gotta be run down. I really want him to be better. First year in pre k, exposed to a lot of sickness I presume. Very damp, wet cough, he never expectorates tho, same with nose, clear and thick, constantly sucking it up. No fever, whiney, aggressive-ish. Blond hair/blue eyes, born in April, fair skin with mastocytosis (harmless condition where has more than normal mast cells in the body) resulting in light small markings on his face/torso, barely visible) Please help.

2. What does he crave in food and drinks?

3. What is the most affected part due to cold?

4. What makes his suffering worse and what makes it better?

5.What are his typical and peculiar physical and mental symptoms whenever he is sick?

1. How is his mental make up and personality? He is very personable, very chatty, doesn't ever want to go to bed, likes being cold, always flips his pillow over before sleep to get the cool side, strong, careful, detailed, really enjoyable and brilliant.
Write 10 adjectives describing some of his positive and negative shades.
Sweet/wild/creative/stubborn/ detailed/careful/curious/adventuress/tiring/manipulative/intense /dismissive
2. What does he crave in food and drinks?
prefers cold drinks, craves sugar (fruit, yogurt, bread)
But eats whole foods mostly, eggs, meat, raw milk, veggies, fruit, dif grains and rice, lots of nuts and olives, butter, oils, we have a masticating juice, so good juices, elderberry everyday. Also kombucha and Jun

3. What is the most affected part due to cold? Eyes, idk, they are not affected, I can just see it in him that he is worn down. Also, personality, it's been about 4 weeks with something. 2 weeks and then started getting better, then went thru it again right after, but it's always clear, thinker, but clear. He is constantly sucking his snot up. Everything is clear, just deep deep cough, croaky, wet, dampness. I ask him if it hurts when he coughs and he says no. But there have been an occasional few times he said it was a hurting cough. He never gets anything up, they are productive coughs, sound deep. I keep thinking he is getting better, but it's like it's just wearing him down, he is over it.

4. What makes his suffering worse and what makes it better? He likes to play, be outdoors, be indoors, always being creative and detailed. He has been more irritable and whiney with it, and so that makes it worse and positive vibes and the sun and cuddling make it better.

5.What are his typical and peculiar physical and mental symptoms whenever he is sick? I feel like I already covered a lot of this above but he is very reactive, he can be very sweet and thoughtful, but I can tell he is getting worn down on being sick. He has been regressing a little and peed the bed, he is 3.5 and potty trained at night for awhile. Also, just wheepy, clingy, also, fierce and independent, like telling me to 'get out of his room' and that he 'doesn't love me anymore' always wants to eat before bedtime, we don't know if he's starving or stalling, he eats well. 3.5 yrs old, fare skin, blond blue eyes, strong back, with an olive skinned french, brunette mom and a blond/blue Norwegian dad. We are giving him lots of good stuff, but nothing has turned the corner yet, he is not getting worse, just tired of it.

Give him just three doses of PHOSPHORUS 200C in empty stomach, each dose 12 hours apart.

No food and water one hour before or after the dose.

One dose would be 3 drops of remedy mixed with 10 ml of water sipped up slowly in clean mouth.

Let me know after 3 days if he responded in any way, for better or worse, to the remedy.

So I order a liquid phosphorus 200c? Or how many pellets in water, then after they are dissolved, use 3 drops if that?

Esharmony 9 years ago
If you have bought pellets, mix 3 nos. pellets in 10 ml water and let him sip it up once the pellets are fully dissolved.

I have ordered phos 200ck and it will arrive in the post tomorrow afternoon. I was just at my sons school for their Halloween parade and every single kid there past by me and got a candy out of my basket (don't worry, my son gets to eat 0.0001% of that candy) anyways, they all have the same thing. THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME THING, like deep chesty wet coughs, runny noses, or sucking it back constantly, if it's the same virus, can we not treat it as such. I have influenziinum 9c 2014/2015, would that help? Should we take it? It was suggested to take 3 pellets once a week for the duration of flu season. Your thoughts?

No, he needs to be cured holistically. His immune system has to be set right. This is only possible by giving him his constitutional remedy.

Yes this is not how homoeopathy works. Even in an epidemic where many people SEEM to have the same illness, it is the individual ways in which those apparently similar symptoms show themselves that point towards the right remedy for that patient.

One patient will be thirsty and want company (Phos), one will by thirstless and want company (Puls), another will be chilly and restless (Ars) etc. It is actually the differences between the patients with the same diagnosed condition that shows which remedy will cure them.

Ok, it's been 3 days. First dose Friday, next 12 hours later, then the last 12 hours after that. Barely noticeable changes. His cough isn't quite as thick sounding, but it there for sure. Still suckin clear snot back constantly. Cold sour drinks, irritable, not sleeping well, cold hands, plenty of energy, happy most of the time. But still sick. We can't afford to but or wait for another 200c remedy to come in the mail. I have lots of 30c remedies here, if you have an other 'ideas.'

Actually, if there is an actual Dr. you can refer this too, that would be much appreciated. I hate playing the lottery on here, hoping to get someone knowledgable enough. I know there are trained homeopaths out there, responding to these, we just haven't gotten lucky enough for one of them yet.

I remember going back and forth with you about a severe sinus infection. I ended up needing antibiotics, like almost needed IV antibiotics I got so sick. All the while running around buying up remedy after remedy as you took shots in the dark with someone's health. It took weeks for me to regain my strength. I don't know why I would trust someone untrained with my son's health. Please, anyone out there, trained and knowledgable please please, refer us to them.

Thank you for responding. My son is 3.5 and has had some thing or another for 5 weeks. It has settled down into his chest. It sounds so wet and choky (he coughs randomly tho, going long stints in between) he can never cough anything up. He has clear snot always sucking it back. He has bags under his eyes, he is irritable and aggressive, but sweet mostly. He craves cold drinks, sour things, says he even likes to be cold.
His little hands feel cold and he lets me warm him and snuggle him to sleep, but he figits wih his hands the whole time, like just wriggling them around, avoiding sleep. He's cautious, bright, and very sensitive to his surroundings.

No problems. Wish you all the best to you and your son.

BTW, I would be thankful if you could pick out one of my prescriptions here and prove I took shots in the dark!!
