The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Understanding Words

Ripping, Tearing, Stitching, etc etc .. I've tried for years to associate the descriptive words in Symptoms and I cannot make sense of any of it. Since I began in 1980 no homeopathic description makes any sense. What's a 'stitching? What's a tearing? Better with cold? Worse when feet are in cold water? Who does that? I am at my wit's end trying to make sense of the words of homeopathy. Please help.

Be warned - I am a writer, my passions are words and etymology. If you reply, please know what you're talking about and use plain English. Please. Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Well maybe you have never had any of these type pains so
it is hard to relate.

Stitching- imagine someone had a sewing needle and very fast
went into one part of your skin and out the other and pulled on the
needle end and open thread end at the same time.

Ripping- Image you were getting a leg wax and the wax is on
the skin-and then someone quickly rips it off ( it feels like your
skin is going to come off with the wax)

I cannot relate to tearing bc I have had the above two pains but
not that one.

Better with cold can mean outside temp, cold drinks, cold food make
you feel better.

Worse when feet are in cold water- some people do cold bathing and many
more did this at the time of Hahnemann-
