6 week old, trapped wind:( acid reflux ? Help!!

Hi, my 6 week old baby has been showing signs of such discomfort. He is a very hungry baby and is a very healthy size however, after every feed we try to burp him for over an hour with little success and the whole time he will be arching his back and squirming around all stiff in discomfort. He vomits very little, but has recently started bubbling/foaming at the mouth. He also sticks out his tongue constantly and pulls a face as though he has a sour taste in his mouth. I am solely breastfeeding, my milk seems to come out very fast and it sounds like he takes in a lot of air whilst he's eating. He also gets a very stuffy congested nose throughout the day in and off. I would really really appreciate any advice/guidance with this as I really don't know what to do.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give him Dioscorea 30 twice a day for 3 days and see how that affects. One pill or drop may be given with mother's milk.

Have been giving him Nat Phos 6x (I read somewhere else on this forum that that would help) and the one you have recommended (dioscorea). He has now developed a red rash almost dryness on his cheeks and chin and he is still finding it hard to bring up the burps and it seems like he finds it harder to poo in the evenings- I think the wind makes it hard for it to pass so in the evenings-morning he is unsettled until his next bowel movement. I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks when he was 2 weeks old, so have been giving him probiotics to try and help his belly...not sure if this has anything to do with it?

Hi-

Did this start after you began giving probiotics?

Many times people have to experiment with the different brands of
probiotics bc what works on one person gives gas to another person
due to the type of bacteria strains that are in them.

I would suggest that you, yourself start taking Cal Phos cell salt 6x
3 tabs 3 times a day-cell salts are a sub branch of homeopathy and
rebalance the cells themselves. Cal Phos is often indicated when
the baby does not like the taste of the milk. Also check to see if
you are eating any gas producing foods.

For the baby, I would try 3 doses of Nux Vomica 30c. Take 3 pills
and dissolve them in a quarter cup of water. Give baby one teaspoon
as a dose- you can dropper it in or use a spoon- do this before feeding.

If you notice things get worse for a bit or a lot better, then stop
at that dose of dose 1 or 2. Wait, and give another dose when things
start to go backwards, Try this with gaps of 5 hours and if three doses
do not do anything then another remedy has to be chosen.

Nux Vomica is given when there is a lot of trouble burping.

Stop the other remedies.
