Using Nat Mur 30C for depression

Hi, I have been taking the above for a couple of weeks now in the hope of it helping my enduring depression. I take 4 tablets once a day. I have noticed that my craving for salt has increased considerably, is this normal (I know Nat Mur is a salt). Also my depression hasn't eased very much and am wondering whether to increase to 200C once a week? Any advice gratefully received thank you.

I have been depressed in various levels of deepness since I was 20 (now 46) after the suicide of my father when I was 14. I didn't grieve properly at the time and it all came to head with a mini breakdown when I met my future husband and was finally able to open up. In this latest episode I have no joy in anything I used to find pleasurable, have withdrawn from friends and it seems impossible to believe i will ever experience fun and lightness again. I am very tearful and sigh a lot. My sleep is very disturbed, i drop off easily but wake many times in the night so am constantly tired. I am also aneamic due to heavy periods and endometriosis but have now had fibroids removed and seem to be settling back into a regular cycle and my aneamia and associated exhaustion is slowly improving. Thank you

Mogsy,
If natrum mur shud help it should have worked by now.
One thing I feel is You may increase the potency to 200C once a week.
By incresing the repetition wont help.
But what ever you have told me I feel the remedy is different. but no point in changing too often so better give Natrum mur a fair chance and increase the potency.
other wise we change the remedy.

Thank you Dr Yogesh, I shall try the 200c once a week for a couple of weeks and report back.

Nat-mur is unlikely to help you. In fact you have created a kind of poisoning with the remedy (what we call a proving) and continuing on this path will probably complicate your condition even further.

You should not be taking a remedy daily without any kind of assessment or supervision. Nat-mur is only one of hundreds of remedies for depression. The right remedy needs to be found for you, or you run a risk of creating a more complex kind of depression, or even stirring into existence physical pathology alongside the depression.
