3 mo baby with reflux- please help!

I have a 15 week old boy, who I believe suffering from reflux.
He is my first child- my pregnancy was planed and very easy- except for a constant heartburn . Delivery was very hard with induction and a c- section, i was given multiple drugs, he also was on antibiotics for 3 days after birth and was away from me and given donors milk.
His simptoms started at about 2 weeks- he would scream after each feeding. He was never diagnosed with reflux, but at 1mo was prescribed Zantac. I didn't want to give him meds at that age- I started researching.
I exclusive bf, so I started a very strict diet - no dairy, any grains , eggs, soy... We saw a really big improvement in just a couple of days. We both on probiotic and he also gets adjustments by chiropractor( it helped a little)
Here are his simptoms now:
He would latch on and almost immediate pulls out- it will continue thru whole feeding. Sometimes he would cry, other times cought and seems choking but sometimes he's ok. It's not a milk supply problem! I looked into it! I feel he's not eating enouth, like he just wants to get it over with. He only weights 10,5 lb. he eats better while asleep. Some days he barely eats and would bite on a nipple. He doesn't have a lot of gas!
He loves comfort sucking- during the day only sleeps in my arms and at night we co- sleep. He wants to be held almost all the time, but would play by himself for a little bit. He has a great personality- smiles a lot, coos. He's not crying after feeding anymore, in fact he would be smiling as soon as we stop.
His poop is kind of liquid, mustard color- 3 or more times/ d.
His hands and feet usually icy cold, but if get hot, his feet sweat. He likes a lot to be naked.
He gets hiccups often.
I tried Nat pros- today is a 3 day-it seems to make him worse-today he barely eats and seems to be in pain!
What should I do?
If anybody can help me- I would really appreciate it- can't stand to see my baby suffering! Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Try giving him some Cal Phos 6x cell salt one tab dissolved
in a tablespoon of water 3 times a day.

You, yourself take the same, only 4 tabs 3x a day. Do
this for 3 days and then report.

Hi Simone,
I know, you said to try for 3 days- but my baby is getting worse.
I gave him 4 doses of cal phos and took 4 myself.
After a first one he seemed to be better, but then he got worse-
My number one concern what he doesn't want to eat- like it's to painful.
It sounds like now he has too much acid and his stomach is very irritated.
He seems to be choking right away then he eats, also he coughs and sounds congested- and no, he doesn't have a cold. He started to arch his back. And tonight he cried in his sleep and wouldn't stop for a while( he never done it before). I gave him chamomilla 2 pellets diluted in a little water- he fell asleep and nursed pretty good in his sleep. He still asleep, so I don't know how is his reflux. What should I do? Continue with cal phos or stop? Do you think he's getting worse before getting better or it's not the right remedy?
Couple of things I forgot to mention in my first post:
He's very very sensitive- his skin gets irritated easily. Before I went on a diet he had a terrible rash all other his face- like individual pimples some of them with white heads. His cheeks are still bumpy but not red- get pronounced when he's hot or crying. And also if his stomach bothers him- like from something I ate.
He has a red birth mark on the back of his head, also one on the right eye and on the middle of his forehead - the last to fading and only visible if his hot or crying.
He doesn't spit up a lot- only sometimes and it could be curdled or clear.
He's not better or worse at particular time of the day. Not better by burping or passing gas. He usually sleeps thru the night- nursing asleep.
He's usually very warm, but his feet and hands are cold( if his hot hands and feet will sweat)
He loves to lie on his back. Seems to be better if I nurse him walking around and patting his back.
He started to get eczema like patches only getting visible when he takes a bath- on his legs.
I'm very new to homeopathy- I'm more familiar with herbalism. I really don't want to put my baby on medication, but I can't stand to see him suffering. And most important thing- he's not gaining enough weight, he's doctor want me to give him formula- I don't know what to do...
I'm sorry, I didn't mentioned it before- we saw 2 local homeopaths- one was a couple of months ago, then I just started my diet, he didn't help at all, thought my baby doesn't have a reflux. And another one recently- he prescribed carbo veg, and then lycopodium - baby seems to get worse after that... So I started research myself - but there are so many remedies I don't want to try all off them on my baby! I really appreciate you help! Thank you!

Hi Julie,

What potency did you give the baby
of Chamomilla?

And have you given that remedy before
to the baby?

How is it going right now? Stop the Cal phos if you haven't
already done so.

Thanks

Simone

Hi Simone,
Thanks for getting back to me!
Chamomilla is 30 c and no, I never gave it to him before.
I did stop the cal phos- pity it didn't work! Forgot to mention- he was a little anemic a month ago( will repeat blood test next month). I'm not anemic.
Not a lot of differences from chamomilla - he's a little better.
I think all the medication and antibiotics damaged his stomach- or I'm wrong?
Thank you so much for trying to help us!

Toma24 last decade
Hi Julie,

No I don't think his stomach is damaged, kids are
very resilient and you are doing all the right things. My first one
had this also- it usually resolves on its own, but it is very
exhausting for everyone. Try to relax a bit.

He also sounds very sensitive. If he is doing a little better
after the Chamomilla that is a good sign. I would wait and
see if he starts to get a bit worse again and then give him
another dose of it the same way you did before.

That is how you dose remedies, you wait till things plateau or
go backwards and then give another dose. If right the gaps
between having to do this will get longer and longer.

You can give him Ferrum Phos 6x for anemia, I would start
with 1/2 tab once a day but wait on this till you see
what the Chamomilla does.

Btw- I see Fitness replied to you while I was on a short break.
You can only work with ONE person at a time on here- no
two homeopaths see things the same way - If you want
to hear his suggestion and go with that, that is fine with me.

Take care,

Simone717

Hi Simone,
My biggest concern - he's not eating, so i was looking for something to relieve the irritation.
Did homeopathy helped your child with reflux?
I know they say it suppose to go away as digestive tract matures- but I can't just wait and see if it going to happen and do nothing. Thank you for your concern but I can't relax it's to stressful!
He is very sensitive.
Chamomilla is not making a very big difference- I only choose it because I'm familiar with a plant. Like I said- I'm new to homeopathy.
He likes cold and fresh air. Will calm down if taken outside.
I'll wait with anemia treatment. Doctor said its common, so we'll wait to see next blood test. But thanks for the info- I will use it if needed!
I do understand you should try only one remedy at a time- I'm just so desperate! I'm very close of putting him on medication!
Thank you!

Simone, I will suggest a remedy only when you think its not responding to your prescription.

Hi-

I had to wait it out bc I did not know about homeopathy-no
medications were given either.

Pulsatilla is the remedy for colic that feels much better outdoors.

Test it out this way. Dissolve a pellet in a tablesooon of water.
This is one dose. Wait and watch for 3 or 4 hours. If
improving wait until things go backward or stall.

Try this up to 3 times.Use 30c potency.

Before you ever decide to go on medication you can try Colic
Calm at CVS- it is a combo of peppermint, aloe, lemon balm
etc- look up the site on it- it has a lot of info about colic,
gerd etc.

simone717 last decade
Hi Simone,
How old was you child then reflux stopped?
Thank you for the info, but we did try Colic calm and other gripe waters- didn't help...I checked out the web site- thank you!
I'll try pulsatilla, and let you know.
Question- does it have to be dissolve in so much water- I have a very big difficulty giving it to him.
The homeopath we went to said I can just give it to him crushed- or it has to be dissolved?
If it has to be a tablespoon, can I use milk, not water?
Thank you!

Toma24 last decade
Dissolving it just makes it more gentle.

If you want to dissolve in a teaspoon or smaller it is
fine - in milk or water is fine or you can use a dropper
and squirt it under his tongue. The main thing is that
he gets the remedy and does not burp it up or spit it
out. You don't want to touch the pill or tablets with
your hands .

(my child was near 4 months when it stopped)

Can a baby get worse from homeopathy?
He got worse since I started to use remedies- seems his reflux escalated. He use to nurse during the day- just constantly pull on and off, but nursed good during the night- now he refuses to nurse during the day and barely nurses at night. We have to feed him using syringe. Should I give him a break and don't try any other remedies yet? Will things go back to there they started?

Toma24 last decade
Please list for me in order
what remedies he has had and what potency and date of
having them.

Need that info to see what is going on here. There is no
substance of any material in a remedy above 12x. Things
wear off- they are molecule imprints on water.

However, if you had some things that were wrong you might
need to antidote and have a clean slate to help. I need to
see the facts on what was given.

simone717 last decade
Thanks Simone, I will gather the info.
I guess it's not a good idea to experiment yourself...
It might be more structural thing- we just went to chiro( didn't see him for about 4 weeks), he said baby still has a big problem( he was stuck during labor).
One more question- he's on the same probiotic for almost 3 months now- it says it might contain milk or soy, should I change it?
Thanks!

As best as I can remember-
Feb 8&9 carbo veg 30c
10&11 lycopodium 30c
I had oscillococcinum( anas barbariae) one does for 2 days( not sure exact days), was getting a flu.
He got worse- not sure from that.
On around 17 I gave him quarter of nat phos 2 times a day- he did beautiful. Next day a gave him half of nat phos- he got worse, and I try next day- wasn't doing good. I took some too.
Then per your instruction - cal phos -4 times, I had it too.
Then Chamomilla 30c- 2 pellets twice- not a big differents.
I also tried aethusa 30c- 2 pellets.
Today he seemed to be choking on acid, so I gave him nat phos- a quarter of a pill( dissolved) he started to cry. I tried to help him and gave him cocyntal( he had it many times before) and then carbo veg.30c - he calmed down a little and even nursed, then fell asleep, woke up and refusing to nurse again.

Toma24 last decade
Well did the Cocyntal work?

What has it done in the past? Lots of good reviews on that product-
with people using it for gas pains.

If Fitness wants to help you out here - please talk to him about this.

I have unexpected family here right now- and I am not going to have
any time to concentrate for a couple days.

Fitness- I hope you can help this Mom.

Thanks Simone 717.

simone717 last decade
Cocyntal really doesn't do anything for him- he doesn't have a lot of gas.
Thanks Simone!
Fitness if you can give me some advice- I would really appreciate it!

Any help please!

Will review & revert.

You have been testing too many remedies on him, it doesn't work like this. The cumulative effect of wrong remedies definitely messes up symptoms. Anyways.

Please give him Chamomila 30c, two doses, 12 hrs apart and report back.

One dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy (or one drop, if you have liquid remedy) in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and take one tea spoon from it. For subsequent doses, use this same mixture, just stir and give another dose.

fitness last decade
Thanks Fitness!
He is actually doing better.
I'll give him the remedy and will let you know.

Toma24 last decade
Fitness,
I gave him remedy, per instruction.
Had a same effect as before- he slept better( usually restless), no effect on his reflux.
