Eye tearing and red after injury

My son, 9 years was hurt accidently by the foot of his younger brother, it hurt him and he couldn't open his eyes. It was around 4 in the afternoon.I gave him arnica 200 immediatly then followed it with 3 doses of symphytum with a gap of 4 hours. All during this time it was tearing and he couldn't stand light even with his eyes closed, he felt pain and as he said; it's like something is pushing my eye, and sometimes he said that he felt there was something in his eye.. Next morning I gave him ruta 200.
And during the day I gave again 2 doses of symphytum. Now it's almost 48 hours, his eye is better, the swelling has almost gone and he can walk around in the light, there is no pain but the tearing continues and when I asked him to open his eye, the white was all inflamed and red. My younger son had hurt his eyes before with extreme pain and swelling, almost as if it was a grape and I used for him arnica, symphytum and ruta and by 24 hours there was dramatic improvement. He opened his eye and swelling was gone as well as redness. With this incident though I feel that the injury wasn't severe as my other son's, I can't understand why the improvement is very slow.....should I give him another remedy? Such as pulsatilla?, calendula ? Or should I repeat arnica??
Any suggestions?
My prayers to anyone here who takes the time to guide me to the proper remedy....thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The remedies may be repeated for another 3-4 day. If there is no complete relief by then give him few doses of Ledum 200.

Thank you for suggesting to repeat the medicines.
I did repeat arnica 200 once and symphytum 30 three times two days. Improvement was suddenly dramatic, all redness and tearing stopped and within 24 hours he was able to open his eye and it looked pretty normal....except for one thing... When he tries to open his eyes wide to focus on something it tears.
Also his vision is blurred still. He says he can't see clearly, which I think explains the tearing when he tries to focus on something...
What should I give him now??
Should I repeat ruta too? I gave it to him in the first few days after the injury but didn't repeat it.
Thank you for caring...

Hope that he is doing well now. Otherwise you may give him a single dose of Pulsatilla 200 and see how that affects in a week. Only one dose, not daily.
